    I didn’t realise Nordance Prince had died – I remember him beating a favourite of mine (Flagship Uberalles) – don’t know what happened to him but the following is taken from the Racing Post:

    NORDANCE PRINCE, who died this week, will have his ashes scattered at Epsom racecourse this weekend.

    A winner of 13 of his 44-race career, the 17-year-old memorably beat the Arkle and subsequent Champion Chase winner Flagship Uberalles in the 2000 Victor Chandler Chase at Ascot with Celibate and Direct Route behind.

    Owner Peter Pink said: "He was the first horse I bought, and for about £10,000. He was only just over 15 hands but had an engine."
