Following on from from her first win of 2010 yesterday (the second win of her career) Nora Looby maintained her good form at Redcar this afternoon and rode what I think is the longest price winner in the history of Betfair at the maximum price of 999/1 (pre off).
Almost 700 quid matched at 1000 on the main Betfair exchange, 45 bet at 1000 on the SP product.
No doubt a contrasting weekend for some of Betfair’s braver punters
June 19, 2010 at 23:23 #302132Theres not many people who can boast riding two horses in two days and winning on both at prices of 20/1 and 100/1. Fair play to her!
June 20, 2010 at 18:06 #302308The ride on Crianza was one of the better examples of ‘kidding a horse home’.

June 20, 2010 at 19:27 #302326I thought it was an example of a jockey that was fully aware the horse was having it’s third run but she was powerless to prevent it winning.

June 21, 2010 at 12:40 #302429According to http://www.gubbage.com/winners.php, the first 1000 winner on Betfair (pre-race) was Bermondsey Bob who won the 16:35 at Salisbury on 29-Aug-2008. BSP was also 1000.

September 23, 2010 at 21:07 #318985The more I see this lass ride, the more impressed I am.
Tomorrow in the Haydock nightcap, she rides
Magnitude
one of ATR’s Formscan horses of the day, currently 18/1 on the exchanges, and ideally suited to prevailing conditions.
Now, I’m not tipping the horse (as this is the wrong section), but I have a strong feeling the yard have booked the apprentice jockey with the most potential to do a job for them.
She is definitely one to watch.
