I have always found professing to know what a deceased person would have wanted distasteful, especially if used to try to put someone else under pressure.
I didn’t know Craig well and I don’t know David any better.
But I do know Craig was a really nice guy, who probably wouldn’t want his name used to hector anyone and in any event I also know David won’t take a blind bit of notice of anyone trying to pressurise him.
Anyway, it might seem a bit like the Little Dunny On The Wold (a “Rotten Borough”) by-election in Blackadder, but those 9,845 anagrams of “Ian Davies Landslide” that have registered in the last week are all legitimate voters and I must defend their democratic right to participate!
