Noel has just confirmed on RTV that this will be his last Cheltenham as he will be retiring – likely to carry on for a few weeks before stopping altogether.
Massive shock as he is a great rider but glad that he will at least leave with a Festival winner and on his own terms.

March 14, 2019 at 23:29 #1402133Brilliant jockey denied the recognition and success he deserved by an awful litany of injuries. Good luck in retirement and hopefully he sees out the last few weeks untroubled.
March 15, 2019 at 14:47 #1402285In my eyes the most underrated jockey of my generation. His success came all too late on. His rides on Silviniaco Conti, Rock On Ruby and Special Tiara will live long in the memory and I’ll miss seeing him on my selections in the years to come.
