Have they lost the plot?
Are they gonna palp this one saying transcription error? A group horse, that has always gone well fresh from a perfect draw? How could they possibly have meant 7/1? Will they be paying out at 7/2 when this wonderhorse wins by half the track?
Thanks in advance Tom. We can always rely on you……..
…..to tip the jolly in a 29 runner handicap.
September 21, 2007 at 11:43 #115759The problem is that they never pay for their mistakes- Coral would only lay 25 quid each-way first thing this morning.Hard to blame them as the arb merchants would just lump on otherwise. Fair play to Hills, they laid me a decent bet. I always hate opening the paper on mornings like this as you know a) He’ll tip it b)You’ll have all sorts of fun trying to get on.
Maybe the way forward is for more bookies to price up and trade the night before these big races and forget about guaranteeing prices the next day. The market would find it’s own level then.September 21, 2007 at 11:59 #115767What race are you referring to and what did TS tip today?
Can’t access RP at work.

September 21, 2007 at 18:52 #115848Well, won as expected. Pity I didn’t see this thread til 10 to 8 pm!!
September 21, 2007 at 19:04 #115852Yeh price was well gone alright, because Segal snapped it up himself before he even wrote his pricewise column.
September 21, 2007 at 22:16 #115897I was on holiday ~ so not guilty (on this occasion). However, I did send a text saying "go 7-1 on Utmost Respect" but they obviously misinterpreted it ~ next time I will use 1.14 to avoid such confusion

The old "I was on holiday at the time" excuse, well I never…
Thought I hadn’t seen you in these parts for a while. All well?
September 22, 2007 at 18:03 #116005All is fine thanks Prufrock. The nipper is keeping me on my toes and off these forums a bit, but she is a star so no complaints….
I read your betfair article about the AGC – if it was you backing the Irish beast at all rates Ante Post then commiserations – ran a blinder…
September 23, 2007 at 11:05 #116084Good to hear that, TDK.
Just small bets ante-post on the Ayr Gold Cup, averaging at around 34. Would still have been nice. I am becoming tired of moral victories…
September 24, 2007 at 13:39 #116202Share your pain…thought it had won, may well have done if keeping straighter. Drier ground would have helped I think too. The man Lyons needs following on his raids to Blighty…
