As a huge NFL fan, I am glad to say that the Monday 1.30am game that was formerly on Channel 5 will now be broadcast on Channel 4.
Fingers crossed Colin Murray goes nowhere near the gig.
September 2, 2010 at 14:45 #315616Good news indeed
Also ESPN now have MNF in addition to an NFL Weekend Preview programme from 4-6pm on Sundays (UK time) so I reckon I will be throwing a few Euro their way next week
I think there will be something like ~ 90 live games available in Ireland & UK this season which is fantastic
Still wish Sky had the red button games though!
September 2, 2010 at 16:08 #315625Agreed JJM, he’s already ruined my Sunday nights viewing by popping up on MOTD2. He’s absolutely awful, terrible decision to appoint him.
Anyway, enough moaning, delighted to see the NFL back, can’t wait.

Only a week to go until the regular season commences and I, for one, can’t wait.
I’ve had a saving interest in
Green Bay
at 16/1, with my main bets being
Baltimore
(20/1 and all prices down to 12/1) and, more recently,
Cincinnati
(28/1 and 33/1).
September 2, 2010 at 17:43 #315634Huge fan of the Ravens, the way they took on and blitzed brady out of the play offs last year was mighty impressive. Their defence is rock solid, wish I had got on at 20s.
Anyone with Peyton Manning has to go close, just wish my Eagles had got someone to replace Mcnabb

The only problem the Ravens have is a secondary ravaged by injury. That said, they’re undefeated in pre-season and ripped the Giants apart (we were coasting from half-time) with a
passing
game last week.
Hopefully Joe Flacco will finally begin to build on the promise of his rookie season.
September 2, 2010 at 22:44 #315691Liked the Packers at 20s, again been trimmed in massively Might have to go for the Colts at current prices. Have already had a sneaky bet on the Titans at 33s ;0) just on a hunch, that really has little logic!

A friend of mine is a massive Packers fan and he assures me that they have the tools to protect Aaron Rodgers this season. I’m not so sure, hence including them only as a saver (though, to their credit, they absolutely demolished the Colts last week).
I’ve added the Bills (150/1) to my portfolio this evening, leaving me with:
Baltimore Ravens
4 points @ 20/1
3 points @ 16/1
2 points @ 14/1
2 points @ 12/1Cincinnati Bengals
2 points @ 33/1
2 points @ 28/1Green Bay Packers
2 points @ 16/1
Buffalo Bills
1 point @ 150/1
Baltimore Ravens
to win AFC North
New Orleans Saints
to win NFC South
San Francisco 49ers
to win NFC West
12 point treble @ 10/11, 8/13 and 10/11 respectivelySeptember 28, 2010 at 03:42 #319794Should have been on the Ravens to win the Superbowl last week, noticed BoyleSports were offering 14s, when everyone else was at 11s! Silly Jack!
So Far this season I’ve had
Colts £50 @ 8/1
The Colts have the best player in the game, and the best player since Brady was in his prime 6/7 years ago. The Colts have improved their defence (Orton threw for 458 last week, but the Broncoes were only able to score 1 touchdown).
Steelers £20 @ 20s
Rather foolishly didn’t even get the best price. They look solid, their defence in particular, and considering they still have Big Ben to come back, they are looking a very tidy outfit.
Tennesee Titans £10 @ 33/1
More a speculative pick, they made some good draftpicks, and thought they would be a sleeper, looking like they are going to have their usual mediocre season.
October 1, 2010 at 14:02 #320281Anyone know if there is going to be any highlights on Ch4 or is it just live games?
October 1, 2010 at 20:47 #320358Live games only AFAIK
No highlights show on UKTV this season
