started at 49/1 and after drawing blanks in the first six races drifted out to 149/1.
then won races 8 (9/1), 9 (17/1) and 10 (5/1) to grab victory from the by-then 1/7 fav and umpteen times HK champion jockey Douglas Whyte.
[the Jockey Challenge operates per meeting on a fixed-odds basis revised after each race up to the jump of the third-last race, with 12pts for riding the winner, 6pts for second and 4pts for third.]
