A fatality in the Cross Country Chase.
It was very ugly to watch as the poor horse broke BOTH hind legs and couldn’t stand on them.
And It is a race we don’t really need that much since the track is too tight and they just keep taking sharp turns all the time. At Craon or Pardubice they can stride along and despite the turns it looks more of a horse race rather than the dog race they have at Cheltenham.Rest In Peace Need To Know
November 17, 2017 at 18:21 #1327148Poor chap; though I think he was injured coming off a bank not on a turn. Sad to see and sorry for connections bringing their good horse over to take on the McManus+French XC experts and having that bad luck when going well.

It was the bank, but I still think that the course is too tight. It is just inside the proper racecourse.
November 17, 2017 at 18:43 #1327156I thought it was his hind right when looking at it.
Awful to hear it was both legs.
RIP

Sanjeev Nanda - If it isn't a horse race then I am not to be counted.
