Yes also looking forward to the flat season. Although hopefully there will be a bit more depth in the 3yr olds this year, and there will be more races run on Good (at least here in Ireland). Am a little tired of hearing the words will put the horse away now until Cheltenham…..
February 3, 2013 at 10:49 #428337The period between Christmas and Cheltenam is more pathetic every season.
Yes it is, the more AW fixtures we get, the more pathetic it gets. One of these fixtures a day is more than enough.
The BHA should get the Flat season sorted out, pathetic is also an appropriate description of it’s start and finish. The turf flat season should start after Aintree and finish at least a week earlier.
Instead we have it "starting" with Doncaster on 22nd/23rd March, then nothing until Musselburgh 30th/31st and BH Monday and then another break until Leicester 5th April.
Similarly, we have the "finale" at Doncaster on 9th November. The preceding week we only have Redcar and Nottingham on the 5th and 6th.
Flat and NH seasons are equally enjoyable, but the edges have been blurred. Overloading Saturdays with every "big" race possible, leaving very few midweek highlights doesn’t help.
....and you've got to look a long way back for anything else.
February 3, 2013 at 13:11 #428356I think you flat folk are a little aggrieved that you don’t
have
a Cheltenham to put horses away for. Top jumps action today

PC,
It may not be the OP’s original intention of making it this way – but these Flat V Jumps threads are "pathetic".
Very "boring".Value Is EverythingFebruary 3, 2013 at 14:17 #428366Corm,
Can we please have two new sections in the forum
One for the "flat vs jump" bore and another for "winging losers" that way those who don’t want to get involve in such threads can completely ignore them, instead of being hijacked into reading them due to misleading titles.

You old Fuddy Duddy! "Hijacked into reading them" My God you can tell you come from spoilt stock Paul.My initial reaction to your post was you’d been ‘Fraped’,thats a new one on me too by the way but your ‘Winging Losers’ should have an ‘H’ in it and ‘Involve’ should have a ‘D’ in it! What did you expect the OP’s thread title to have meant?..Please…………Can you teach me to spell??

So how the "edited" is one supposed to know what a thread is about simply from a title "Please…."
I presumed it was going to be a request for assistance!!
As for my spelling – well it goes to show I’m only human and I make no pretence at being a perfect speller – you still managed to get the gist of what I was saying.
February 3, 2013 at 14:39 #428375Thanks for your contribution
paulostermeyer
you could of read it and left… I’m not misleading anyone just put whats on my mind.
If that’s not allowed then this forum would be pointless.
Thanks again

Now then Paul,Language Please, you wont hear me use expletives like that on here and its certainly unbecoming from a Gentleman like your goodself.By the way your Website was of great assistance to me on my venture to Cheltenham last week, many thanks!
February 3, 2013 at 15:17 #428383‘Winging Losers’ should have an ‘H’ in it

definately
I’m
definitely
, not to mention definately, of the opinion that "Lydia Hislops definately got it" should be altered to "Lydia
Hislop’s
definitely
got it" and that an apostrophe in "Hislops" would be a definite advantage.
