After what has seemed a long summer real racing has returned and I cannot wait for the next few weekends for some top quality racing.
Next weekend – Aintree x2 and Chepstow
Weekend after – Charlie Hall
Next – Elite Hurdle
Next – Paddy Power
Next – Betfair Chase and Ascot Hurdle
Next – Fighting Fifth and Hennessy
Next – Tingle Creek
Next – Bulaand thats up until Christmas!
Cant wait to see
Mille Chief (Juvenile Hurdler) and Lidar from the King yard.
Michel Le Bon (Nov Chaser) from Nicholls
Quwetoo (Nov Chaser) from Howard Johnson
Imperial Commander (Staying Chaser) from Twiston Davies
Hurricane Fly (Champ Hurdler) from Willie Mullin
Long Run (Nov Chaser) from Hendersonand all the rest.
Sea The Stars was great but doesnt get me excited like a Juvenile Hurdle, a novice chase or a staying chase. You just cant beat it. Even in the cold!
October 19, 2009 at 18:49 #254278Hopefully RUK or ATR will be showing Long Run’s romp in the Maurice Gillois
Welcome to the forum btw

October 19, 2009 at 19:01 #254281Hope so.
From what Ive seen Im not sure the horse will be a true 3m horse over here. He could fall between The Arkle and The Sun Alliance.
Pandorama would be interesting over fences in Ireland as well.
Cant wait – getting excited with the top quality horses we are seeing re-appear in the midweek as well. Just a shame Crack Away Jack has not been declared tomorrow although I hear he could go Champion Hurdle route instead. Would be stupid if he lost his novice status over fences and reverted to hurdles.
October 19, 2009 at 19:27 #254287He’ll be fine at 3m don’t worry NHFan. Looked really well the other day and hoping he can confirm the form next month – was very inexperienced and rushed when he ran in May (had to be to ensure he was qualified for Cheltenham next March).
Only worry is the ground might be too quick for him.
October 19, 2009 at 22:31 #254333Ive had my pipe opener at Bangor and cannot wait for Aintree this weekend.
The Old Roan looks good with Nacarat,Monets Garden,Knowhere,Tidal Bay and plenty others running.
Also cant wait to see Kensington Oval making his hurdles debut for Jonjo in the maiden hurdle.
Tataniano hopefully running in the 2m Novice Chase is something else to look forward to.
Blimey im practically slavvering like a St Bernard just thinking about all this.
October 19, 2009 at 23:29 #254353Couldn’t agree more NHfan. Yes watching Sea The Stars successes was exciting, but nothing like as exciting as seeing old favourites come back year after year, whether top or bottom class. I love every minute.
