Yes
Soviet Song didn’t win because she isn’t as good as she used to be, lacks the turn of foot she once had (see the Sussex for further evidence) and was poorly positioned in a slowly-run race.

I agree. OB was far too short at Evs.<br>But she did it, so the odds ended up being right.

Err. No.
I think the age stats aren’t really relevant anymore.
More and more top females are being kept in training ratehr than being packed off to the paddocks at the end of their 3yo seasons.
As a result, you can expect that the older horses are going to these races more often (which is what we’ve been seeing over the last few years).
Apologies if this sounds like aftertiming, I wasn’t on the forum this morning.
