My better half informs me that the darts player is Les Wallace?

Firstly the cricketer. A clue, he was also a professional football player.
Les Wallace is correct, as is Katherine Merry, as is Steve Walsh.
Can’t fault your missus Nathan. Darts is in my top 3 sports/games to play or watch. Mind you I have to say in all my years playing darts I only ever saw a fight break out once and that was at a ladies match

Still couldn’t see who the cricketer was after the clue so I’ve done a bit of research.
According to my computer 10 people have played both professional Football aswell as Cricket. Here’s who it’s not – Viv Richards, Ian Botham, William Foulke played in 1902, Phil Neale, Geoff Hurst
, also not these two who should have been wicketkeepers Steve Ogrizovic, Andy Goram.That leaves Brian Close, Dennis Compton and Chris Balderstone. Brian and Dennis I imagine would have stopped playing cricket by that time so I google Chris Balderstone and found that lovely picture…

Pompete got Nathan Robertson so the two left are the jockey and the cyclist.
The jockey has been known in the last couple of years to take the wrong course on more than one occasion.
The cyclist is making a comeback for London 2012 and has the same surname as a flat jockey who might have a classic season next year.
