Hope you are having a ball Archipenko.
Final race
Global Humor
Win
Has been delivered to win with little to spare, so the handicapper has had to deal with each win with kid gloves.
If there was a problem trainer would have reached for a claimer or headgear.
Has a wide mark in hand having run off much higher marks.
Paul Mulrenhan would be in bed now if this no longer retained a winning chance.
The other horse of interest is
YELLOW BEAR.
Each way
Hasn’t won since start of career winning a stakes race off 74 gone to career low here.June 23, 2023 at 22:00 #1653196I was on GLOBAL HUMOR e/w and made a profit on that bet of 40p

Thanks for all your tips @sportingsam!
June 23, 2023 at 22:19 #1653201Really sorry about the last race. I forgot to mention that Paul and Jim are naughty boys.
The horses are difficult to predict as they don’t always run them “to form”.
A winner in the first and Mrs baggeran were the best I could do. Hope you all had a great time.
June 23, 2023 at 22:24 #1653205Somebody in the group had MRS BAGGERAN!
It was a great day, but I will stick to following SEA THE STARS’ progeny. As I am doomed to only have losing bets ha ha.
June 24, 2023 at 17:16 #1653427I was propping up the paddock rail for the evening alongside a few Musselburgh regulars. Decent crowd and a good atmosphere even though the racing was moderate.
How Bizarre had it very easy on the front end and I called him as the winner after 2 furlongs, though sadly not one for in-running betting!
Poet Master is a nice looknig sort. I stood at the furlong pole for htis one and was very green when asked for an effort, but once he got hte idea he as well on top by the ned. Looks likely to improve for a step up in trip.
Belle Of Annandale ran a passably decent race but once again found a couple too good. She doesn’t seem to do much wrong, and has performed well in better company, but remains a maiden.
Spring Is Sprung ran well in Class 2 last time, but looked very awkward in front in this lower grade. Doesn’t look an easy ride.
Mrs Bagerran had a decent run last time in the book, though a few did and it was a question of which one repeated. She put it in at the end though and will probably win again. Sixcor was very consistent in summer last eyar and may well pick up a race before long, just collared here.
Global Humor was just held in the last, but is a really tough one to get in front. When he’s won he’s not been in front for more than 100 yards and really needs producing on the line. Runs often, so likely to win again sometime, but difficult to say just when. Regarding Sam’s comments, Jim Goldie gets has horsses to settle well (most run with no noseband on their bridle) but on the down side they tend to be held up so need the run of the race on occasions. Goldie’s sprinter Rory would merit a horse phychologist’s treatise on his own!
June 24, 2023 at 18:19 #1653445It’s great that the racecourse put on a shuttle bus to Wallyford railway station, and buses into Edinburgh.
June 24, 2023 at 18:29 #1653448Yes, I sometimes use the train to Wallyford. A few years ago when I was working at South Gyle I did the bus trip from Corstorphine to Musselburgh. Took almost 2 hours in hte evning rush hour but I got there in time!
Battled with the Edinburgh by-pass yesterday. Hard work going through rush hour traffic, though had allowed plenty of time, and then they closed the road from Sheriffhall on the way back!
I’m also a member at Kelso which is longer trek, have done it a couple of times by train to Twedbank and shuttle bus though my car can pretty well get there on autopilot now! Reckon I’m homing in on 1,000 climbs of the stairs to the roof of the stand!
June 24, 2023 at 18:55 #1653460You are committed @robnorth 😬.
I was working from home so headed along to the racecourse around 1700.
