    No point to this post other than my own curiosity.

    I was looking at the pedigree of Mus-if, winner of the National Stakes in 1998, on Pedigree Query and it states that he was later sent to the USA and ‘mistakenly gelded’.

    Google turned up dry – does anyone know the story behind that?

    The very definition of a balls-up.

    There have been a few times in my life when I wished I’d been mistakenly gelded.

    Sorry I can’t help, but am happy to be added to the list of the curious here.
