All,
Free with the prurchase of the Daily Mail today, when purchased from a WH Smiths, is a DVD of Murphy`s Stroke. For those of you unaware, it is film based on the infamous Gay Future affair. The original Video is difficult to obtain, and there is one currently for sale on Amazon for approx. £45.
Just though i`d let anyone know who would be interested in obtaining a copy for free.
As an aside, has anyone got a copy of "something to brighten the morning". If so, would they be prepared to let me have a copy, video or DVD, and I would make an agreed contribution for their time and effort.
Cheers,
dave

ps.
I’ve got a 3 year old filly by Mill Reef – down the Spartan General pedigree.
Backing two runners is the relentless pursuit of value. Backing each way is a shortcut to the poor house. Only 7% make a long term profit.
February 14, 2008 at 14:59 #143149While it’s quite possible that I’d be entertained by a film based on the Gay Future affair, I simply could not bring myself — under ANY circumstance — to buy a copy of the Daily Mail.
February 14, 2008 at 15:10 #143153I was waiting for the first complaint, and obviously not dissapointed.
February 14, 2008 at 15:12 #143155Still, that`s what you get for trying to be helpful…..why bother.

Well there’s an opinion about the Daily Mail, but I can’t see that anybody has set out to offend you.
As it happens I’ve got a copy of Murphy’s Stroke, my wife have given it me as a birthday present a few years back. By the normal standards of sporting films it’s actually not bad and tells the story quite well.

I think your filly should sue for divorce
February 14, 2008 at 18:54 #143217elcartero, have you read the Daily Mail?
Only Formcast (Nigel Taylor)….however, I must admit that my wife insists on reading the rest of it to me so I know exactly what you mean. She’ll have to go!
