November 4, 2010 at 21:40 #326248Don’t rule out the Murphy mare. She didn’t show her true running at Punchestown and she seems to have taken well to the ear plugs. If she settles better she’ll take a hand in the finish.
November 5, 2010 at 17:15 #326375Looks a very good race on paper.
Exciting to see Hurricane Fly back on the racecourse.
Just wonder how many of those declarations will actually turn up on the day.

November 8, 2010 at 18:44 #327036Mullins horse’s according to the trainer himself are very backward. Proper order…we need them fit for xmas and March.
Such a exciting bunch of horse’s he has
November 8, 2010 at 23:42 #327084It’s the same trend every year with WPM.
Meade will clean up before Christmas and there’ll be murmours of bugs down in Closutton. Then he’ll go and bang in five or six winners at Leopardstown over Christmas and everyone will be wondering how they left such good horses go off at such big prices.
I had one of my biggest wins ever on Missed That in the Grade 1 novice on Stephens Day a few years ago. He had a pipe opener at Thurles when he jumped appallingly before scrambling home in a beginners chase at Navan. I think he went off at 10/1 that day at Leopardstown.
I was hoping HF would run on Sunday so I’d get a nice price about Solwhit but not to be.

1-391 4 Voler La Vedette (CAMurphy) – (149)2/1 (Ladbrokes) about Solwhit for this looks massive. I doubt Barry will be available on Sunday to ride the mare and I see very little in her form that entitles her to be priced shorter than Solwhit. Although Donnas Palm is in good form and Meade’s are flying at the moment, he isn’t in the same class as Solwhit. Sublimity is knocking on a bit now and the ground will be against him.
November 14, 2010 at 14:25 #327930Solwhit will take all the beating in the two Leopardstown Grade 1s again this season even if Hurricane Fly does line up.
Won that with plenty in hand and Charles Byrnes will have left a bit to work on.
November 14, 2010 at 14:48 #327944These small fields tell us very little.
He is a champion Hurdle horse but can’t see him in the same league as Hurricane Fly IMO
