Not much to say about this, except that 5/2 about Lossiemouth could be a pretty good bet.
BlueSky @pghenn.bsky.social
So don't run, just like the others always do
November 23, 2024 at 00:41 #1713622At the prices I’d rather be on Brighterdaysahead @ 9/2.
Value Is EverythingNovember 23, 2024 at 09:32 #1713643Lossiemouth out
Value Is EverythingNovember 23, 2024 at 10:49 #1713669Quelle surprise.
November 23, 2024 at 11:27 #1713679I’ll just take State Man on. No harm to him, just a terrific horse, but I’ll go Brighterdaysahead 10-3, and Sir Gerhard 33-1 ew
November 23, 2024 at 11:45 #1713686Skybet have State Man for £10 max bet at Evens if anyone wants it. An extra tenner in the kitty isn’t the worst thing in the world.
November 23, 2024 at 11:55 #1713687Gutted as I thought Lossiemouth was a cracking price , State Man should tot up however Sir Gerrard is to big so played him
Pick 3 on Saturday champion 2025/2026
November 23, 2024 at 13:20 #1713726I think state man should be 1/4 for this, hes 1/2ish and drifting, which i find curious, having been let down by CH next week ill give it a miss, but i wouldnt be against having a punt even at that price
As good as BDH is, she was beaten in the MNH, state man would literally have lapped them, she ran well lto, but i mean, shes going to have to run a mighty race if state man can still run to 169, nothing to suggest he couldnt still inprove either
Obviously shes the most likely winner should he fail, but its hard to seenit, hes the most underrated horse in training
November 23, 2024 at 14:16 #1713750Imagine what a fit and sound Constitution Hill would do to that pair.
November 23, 2024 at 14:18 #1713753Well done GT and Silver Spoon
November 23, 2024 at 14:19 #1713755Good race. State Man landed on all fours at the last after hitting the front and she bravely got back up.
November 23, 2024 at 14:19 #1713756Not entirely surprising as she had the race fitness advantage and SM looked a little burly beforehand but she simply can’t jump like that and expect to win or be competitive in a Champion Hurdle against cherry ripe rivals
November 23, 2024 at 14:46 #1713769Well done Ginger and Spoon.
The more I know the less I understand.
November 23, 2024 at 14:49 #1713771She is now 4s (from 14s) for the Champion Hurdle……..they are having a major laugh – if she beats him again over Christmas when he is race and match fit then maybe but I expect SM will beat her next time.
November 23, 2024 at 14:57 #1713773I thought State Man looked a bit burly too LD.
State Man has won on reappearance before, but hasn’t really needed to be at his best to do so. Was giving the winner more than the sex allowance too. However, State Man will be 8 years old come March…And although Brighterdaysahead didn’t jump that well today, was also jumping constantly left-handed on a right handed track. Cheltenham should suit her better and could jump better that way around. She’s still improving
Value Is EverythingNovember 23, 2024 at 15:01 #1713774State Man may well reverse it at Xmas. Thinking what Ballyburn Fact To File and Galopin did after run 1 last season.
November 23, 2024 at 15:03 #1713778Difficult race to judge as only two of them were really trying so hard to know how much below his best State Man was and even then looked like he’d have had her measure anyway but for the jump at the last. There’s nowhere near enough evidence to say she should be 4/1 for a Champion Hurdle.
