These are my selections for Thursday, ive noticed Alesandro Mantegna is 16/1 so E/W advised and Easter Legend is my (NAP).

    [b:21e41hrf]2.45 Cheltenham
    Going – Good
    SELECTION[/color:21e41hrf] – Alesandro Mantegna[/color:21e41hrf][/b:21e41hrf] E/W Advised at 16/1

This should be a interesting Handicap Chase at Cheltenham with a total of 13 runners, Alesandro Mantegna should go off well today this horse has been a pretty promising horse, back in November 2009 to December 2010 the horse managed to get four consecutive places one in a class 4 and the rest in class 3’s, since Goldsworthy has trained this horse it has races 13 races in total managed to only win once and place six times so not a bad strike rate going by solid places, the horse actually broke the deadlock last time out to win out of 4 horses at Kempton over 2m in a class 3 but i wouldn’t of said it was a comfortable win was under pressure and slightly jumping awkwardly in the process however before that race it ran a decent race 2nd out of 7 horses in a class 4 however was only beaten by a neck on the day, has ran at Cheltenham before so has had experience here it made a good impression as well came 3rd out of 10 horses over 17f beaten by a distance of 14.00 lengths to Radium so has shown potential in a tough contest before at the same racecourse, the ground today is good which seems to suit the horse as shown in it’s previous two races. Also the horse has raced a useful type known as Get Me Out Of Here who took part in the Cheltenham Supreme Novices Hurdle grade 1 came 2nd out of 18 horses beaten by a head of Menorah also at Newbury came 1st out of 23 horses. Alesandro Mantegna actually was only beaten by a distance of 5.50 Lengths to Get Me Out Of Here so this must be respected that Alesandro Mantegna can run a big race, Timmy Murphy is the jockey today and has only tried this horse once which was last time out at Kempton when it came 1st as I mentioned earlier I expect Timmy Murphy will give the horse a decent run and has experience much more competitive races in his jockey career so will have experience. Overall, this should be a decent competitive race and I think Alesandro Mantegna will just has the edge here at 12/1.

    [b:21e41hrf]3.20 Cheltenham
    Going – Good
    SELECTION[/color:21e41hrf] – Easter Legend [/color:21e41hrf](NAP)[/b:21e41hrf]

This should be a competitive Mares Handicap Hurdle race at Cheltenham with a total of 17 runners, Easter Legend look’s as if it could run a decent race today has competed in this class before actually 3 times in total the horse showed a promising run at Cheltenham last time out came 5th out of 17 horses it was held up in mid-division was close up when mistake 2 out and didn’t quicken in the end was beaten by a distance of 9.75 lengths to Queavega also ran at Ascot in a class 1 came 2nd out of 8 horses and was only beaten by a 1.00 length to Sweetheart so has had experience at this level and should be capable of winning this today, raced over this distance 3 times in total only managed to place out of all of them, Jason Maguire is the booking today for the first time on this horse he will give the horse a decent run no doubt. The horse shouldn’t mind good ground as it’s won on it before run’s off a mark of 139 which was the same as at Cheltenham last time where it made a promising run so should go well off this mark. Overall, this horse should go off strongly with plenty of stamina through-out the race and with experience of Cheltenham twice and good ground will all suit also has a decent pedigree first foal dam unraced sister to 2m5f-3m hurdle winner Gun Shot also half-sister to reasonably useful 2m chase winner O My Love so this horse has many thing’s in favour today for this 2m5f trip at Cheltenham.
