I’m having work done on my house and have moved an old pine dresser out and found black mold on it [and white fluffy mold as well]. It’s been on the same wall for nearly 40 years and was last moved out 3 years ago and was ok. I’ve treated it with water and bleach, mold cleaner and now vinegar but it still seems to be in the wood. Have also put wood preserver on some parts of it.Moving another, smaller piece of furniture out yesterday found the same problem. Does anyone have any ideas as to what I can do? It’s beautiful old furniture and I’d hate to replace it with something new [and can’t anyway after my horrendous vets bill].

Probably, you will not get rid of it completely.

If it is going back to the same place it sounds if you might have to treat the wall first:
