April 16, 2011 at 16:42 #350590So sad – he won the Midlands National last month – it says he had internal injuries so I’m not sure what happened as he pu … RIP
April 16, 2011 at 20:20 #350631RIP minella, so very sad after a great victory last month.
April 16, 2011 at 20:25 #350633Absolutely gutted about Minella Four Star and imo has been ridden to death, the Eider, Midlands National and the Scottish Grand National, it’s far too much to expect, all within weeks of each other. What is David Pipe thinking of?

I could not agree more! It’s the same with E Street Boy. Although a younger horse and over different onstacles, David Pipe ran him over hurdles 3 times within a week. Yes he won all 3, but thats not the point. Had the poor horse had a fatal fall eyebrows and comments would have been raised
RIP Minella
you won me alot of money at the Midlands NationalApril 17, 2011 at 21:16 #350832Just got to correct this, Minella Four Star didn’t run in the Eider, (it was Minella Boys) nevertheless, I stand by what I posted.

What a shame. Such a brilliant horse. RIP.
I knew he’d pulled up but didn’t realise he was badly hurt. I’m sure I didn’t hear anything said about him on Ch4.
And I agree with what’s been said about David Pipe. What’s he playing at?
April 25, 2011 at 16:06 #352107I think Minella Star pulled up with internal injuries and then died.
He was owned by a small syndicate and they definitely overraced him, he should never have run in the Scottish Grand National, he was a brave and gallant horse who never knew how to run a bad race and will be sadly missed RIP old warrior.xx also thoughts of Regal Heights who also died that day.Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out... - AuthorPosts
