    Usually a decent race….

Chantry House the obvious standout here, but should this be the preferred target for The Shunter, then he’s capable surely at this level.

Empire Steel is probably better than a 20-1 shot, and I’ll maybe cover him, but it before Final Decs.

The one I like is Remastered. Last seen mixing it with Galvin, Next Destination, and Escaria Ten, and no shame in just coming up short against that standard of opposition.

If over those exertions, and he takes his chance here, I’d give him a decent chance at a price. He’s had a great season, topped of by a very impressive win in admittedly weak Reynoldstown. I really like him for The Ladbroke Trophy, and I’m hoping first of all that he runs here, and secondly, that he confirms that that’s the type of race he should be heading for next year.

Not going mad, I’d like to see him jocked up, but happy to start off with the 14’s

    Remastered 14’s

Excuse my ignorance, but is it unusual for them to have bothered to jock up Escaria Ten for this? Surely can’t be running as he’s going in the Irish Nash today?

I wonder if The Shunter does indeed travel over it would be the 3m novice hurdle they opt for. It’s a Grade 1 after all and would be consistent with their M.O of targeting the lowest hanging fruit.

I really like Remastered too. Would love to see him in a Welsh National next year.

Protektorat is the one I want to back here at 16s. It looks like Hitman will run in the Manifesto so makes sense for the owners to split them up. I’m convinced the better ground is crucial to his chances, he was so impressive in his first 2 chase starts. However, whether he truly wants 3m would be a Q mark.

That jockey booking is a strange one?

Danny – Protektorat has Harry Skelton jocked up for 2.5 miler on Thursday, so I’d imagine the Skellys will be running Pretektorat on Thursday and Shan Blue in this.

The big breakaway ran a cracker at Cheltenham really putting it up to monkfish for a long way before being burnt off

Whereas fiddler was ridden to pick up the pieces I cant have him as a shorter price than TBB

The penny seems to be gradually dropping with him and there is no monkfish here and if he runs like that again he will take all the beating

Haven’t backed him yet but strongly considering it

The Shunter for me, 5-1. He just has to go very close.

    Chantry House 9-4 for me.

Envoi Allen’s fall aside, he won the Marsh despite losing a shoe and I think this trip might just suit better round here. Ground no problem.

I’ll not be surprised if Fiddlerontheroof runs well, but as boring as it is, I just can’t see past Chantry House here

Fiddlerontheroof is the one that I’ve went for here Autumnal. I took 7-1, as I thought he ran better than expected in the old rsa.

After the run of protektorat run today I reckon empire steel could be a bit of value in this , they gave plenty of excuses after that run but at the end of the day empire still beat him by 40 lengths , I don’t think there flying a kite here

Same selection here HDLG, would’ve covered him even if Remastered went, but relying on him now.
