Jeez that was some run for your 8th of the season. No ney never stud fee going into the stratosphere if this continues. Got to love the horse. Total bampot but what an engine. To do that after using up so much energy in the prelims. Very promising from the antartic too. The family gets better with age so could be a decent bet for the commonwealth cup. Ryans face a picture. Knows hes a nutter but likely to win so puts up with him. Blackbeard looks the type not to mess with.

Blackbeard 8/1 best for the Commonwealth Cup and 20/1 in a place for the 2,000 Guineas.

Question is will he progress at 3?

I’d be expecting a few to improve past him

Same deal as Little Big Bear – both by No Nay Never, both big, strong, mature and fast, but how much progress from two to three, how much further will they stay and will they find even normal weight-for-age improvement?

Blackbeard won’t be running in the Guineas…. surely not
He’d be favourite for the Arc if he won the Guineas
Who’s Baaeed? Would be the chant
    But it isn’t happening

I hope I’m wrong but I think Blackbeard is an out and out 2 y/o

Agreed, but there’s always a chance and if you knew he’d be equally effective next year, 8/1 for the Commonwealth Cup would be fair and there would be worse 20/1 chances for the 2,000 Guineas.

Trainer reported that, as well as running too free, Marshman pulled a muscle in the race.
