Racing Post has announced the sad passing of flat legend Michael Jarvis. This with Ginger’s sad passing yesterday has made this a really sad week for racing.

    RIP.

    Very sad news.
I never met him personally, but have a number of friends who did. Unanimously regarded as a true gent. He will be sadly missed.
R.I.P. and best wishes to his family.

There is no words to describe the unjustified loss of two racing greats back to back, why is god punishing us?

    This is horrific

Another sad day. Top trainer and no qualms in backing a horse from his yard. Trained one of my favorites in Rakti.

Mr. Jarvis was one of my favourite trainers, a man who showed great skill and patience with his horses. A real gentleman on and off the track.
Sympathies to his family and friends

Just back from holiday to the news of Ginger McCain and Michael Jarvis. Very sad news on both counts.
