Hope everyone is doing well! Another busy craft show weekend. Things are going well here. Just glad I’m retired and only working one job

Good Luck with any bets and all your comp selections! I think American Affair has a good chance in the big sprint today.

    Take Care

I like American Affair too Andre I also think Walbank will
run a big race and did well last time out in 4th after 5
    months off.

Those were my 2 for Neil’s competition, although Walbank
to win and American Affair for the place.

I’ve taken the rev f/c as well, just in case :good:

Well done Andre, that was an exciting finish. I did enough
to cover me but was disappoitned with the run of Walbank,
he was given “an easy”time of it by David Egan.

    Very nice winner Andre :good:

I should have put this up yesterday when I saw Big Gossey was
running in the Bar One Racing Flying Five Stakes on Sunday
at the Curragh. William hill were 66/1 4 places. That’s
gone but Bet365 are still 50/1 4 places or Skybet are a
pretty miserable 25/1 but 5 places. He’s got a tougher race
than usual, a Group 1 with £236,000 to the winner.

Having said that it’s like a home game for him at the Curragh
and you know if he gets a run he’ll be making ground at the
finish. It’s as much a heart over head decision, as he’s a
big favourite of mine. Every chance he’ll get into the places,
    and maybe, who knows

I’m going to try and have a little cover in case BG gets caught
on the rails or whatever. I always had a big opinion of Buccanero
Fuerte, I fancied him for the 2000 Guineas the year prior to, but
that didn’t work out. He has won some Group races thought, including
the Group 1 Phoenix Stakes. On his day he’s very good

3.25 Curragh – Buccanero Fuerte 10/1 on the Exchange.

What is it with Paddy Power, do they just not like Big Gossey
They’ve just gone 70/1 4 places BG. Okay it is asking a lot of
him in a race like this, but 70/1. I don’t get it

That 70/1 lasted long enough for me to grab a bit before they
have cut him to 50s again. It’s a funny old game

Well I’ll let Paddy have this one, he was due one.
BG will be back for another crack at the Curragh.

What’s funny Graham, is that I didn’t put American Affair in my Pick 3  Oh well….. Big Gossey will have his day again soon. He’s served you well recently! How’s your knee doing – hopefully a little better!

I used a swap in Godolphin over the weekend and scored a paltry 900 pts :-( for my trouble! I’m currently on 7,900 pts & 263rd overall, with two swaps still remaining.

I hope everyone is doing well!

I did the same Andre. Somehow managed to leave Beautiful Love out too. Very disappointing runs from the Godolphin horses. It has nudged me into the top 100 though. Now on 9600 points (92nd). Only one swap left though so I expect to drop down considerably. Then again, if Godolphin horses continue to run like they did this weekend, maybe I can hang on!

Hi all..just catching up here as lots going on at home this week…

Great pics in Select 3 Andre and I was certain you had put American affair in  but never mind at least you backed him..I hope. :good:

I was really pleased that Spirit Mixer who fought back to hang on in the photo at Chester and gave me an 11/2 Nap in the Select 3 Horses competition in my lucky Jeff Smith colour’s. :yahoo:
Graham and I both on 70.5 in that competition but still about 50 points to make up, but it can be done. Some great tipsters in that comp finding double figure winners week after week, :good:

I’ve made a right horlix of my Godolphin stable  as like everyone else I saw at least 2000 easy points waiting to be picked up at Woodbine so I made my final swap onto them and what a disastertrous result it turned out. Cinderella’s Dream a non runner Mountain Breeze abd Naval Power nowhere, just one horse picked up points. I’m on just
7060 Points and 350th position with no swaps remaining so now relying on what’s left in my stable and those illusive Bonus Points.

I still can’t work out how the leaders always seem to have the current horses in their stables when they have used most of their swaps early in the competition it’s a hard one to crack and with no bonuses virtually impossible.

Well done Catherine with a great score and for being in the top 100…we’re relying on you. :good:

Graham..I knew you would be on BG on Sunday  and I was on my favourite girl Believing who once again was drawn on the wrong side of tbe track and made up so much ground on Bradsell, I hope they take her to The Prix de La Abbaye I could see her scooting home in that :rose:

Good luck with your horses Darren.

How are your golf bets doing Graham?

Well done Catherine! Breaking into the top 100 in the Godolphin comp is a good achievement. As Jac said, I don’t know how the leaders always seem to have the top horses. Of course, you could argue that the Godolphin horses are certainly far from “the top” this year.

Nice AP winner for you Darren! :yahoo:

Nice nap for the pick 3 Jac! :yahoo: Hope all is well with you and the family!

I need to start looking into some horses for Bobby’s TTF comp – it will be here before we know it!!

Take Care all and Good Luck with any bets!

Thanks for the reminder Andre Bobby’s TTF will be upon us before we know it.
I”m still trying to make headway in Graham’s TTF..I had Kyprios and Lake Victoria but needed a few more to get into the top 5.

Really enjoying the competitions though they help focus your mind when it is all over the place 😀..Jac x

    Ps…Andre
Once you have chosen your 10 horses can I have the 10 you throw away..lol 😅🤣😂

Apologies all for the delay getting back to you all.

Ouch Andre, missing American Affair was a bit of a sore one.
My knee is doing not too bad, thanks for asking, it’s the rest
of my leg, below the knee that’s more of a problem. It had an
infection and was swollen so badly that my legs didn’t match
I’m on my third lot of antibiotics to try and get rid of it.
It should have been picked up by the hospital. So what’s new

That’s still a pretty decent Godolphin score, especially with
2 swaps remaining. I hope you are still revelling in that retirement
and it’s true, you wonder how you had the time to work before it.
    All the best mate :good:

Catherine that’s a terrific score in your Godolphin competition.
I’d imagine that quite a few in the top 100 will have blown all
there swaps, I think you’re a candidate for top 50. That would
    be some achievement :good:

Jac, Believing and Big Gossey both drawn on the wrong side, I think
BG was widest of all heading towards the finish and got swallowed up
by the stand side runners. That was a great run by Believing considering
she was drawn so wide. Believing and Big Gossey with a stand side draw
next, that would make a nice little f/c :good:

I did okay with the golf last week, seeing as you asked Jac. I picked 2 out
in the Irish Open, but they were gone by the halfway cut. I thought I’d chance
one on the final day on the exchange, turned out not too bad ;-)
