Hi guys happy to read through the Thread and read that you all had a great Christmas amd Boxing Day. Such a shame about A Plus Tard Andre but well done with Klassical Dream.
We had a lovely Christmas day but on Monday my husband Dave was taken to hospital with a bleed on the brain and he is being monitored and scanned for next few days before we find out what is going on.
Just wanted you to know why I have been a bit scarce on here last few days and I will still he popping in and doing the comps to help take my mind off things. You all know what I mean and racing is my one great place to go to lose myself for a while.
Worrying times but we are soldiering on.
Take care and stay safe. JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...December 28, 2021 at 17:46 #1575201Triptych.
Best wishes to you and your husband.
Words cannot convey, but thoughts are with you.December 28, 2021 at 17:51 #1575205Thank you Sam.. what a year it has been for us all.

Jacqi so sorry to hear the news about your husband. I am sure that he will
get the right care and treatmeant if my own experience of the NHS is anything
to go by. Look on the positive side and try and be strong. The racing over Christmas as provided some rather strange results but on the whole
the form book is being upheld.Let us all hope for a better time in the New Year.

December 28, 2021 at 18:50 #1575217Hello John and thank you.
Still early days and hopeful the wonderful NHS will get him better quickly as I am not allowed to visit because of Covid.Don’t forget that Meydan Thursdays 2022 starts in earnest on Jan 1st where Godolphin Fantasy League will be discussed and we can post up our positions and progress up the Leaderboard.

Happier and Healthier New Year for us all.Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...December 28, 2021 at 22:45 #1575281Oh Jac I’m so sorry to hear about Dave. Sending long distance hugs and keeping you and Dave in my thoughts and prayers. It’s all very scary, I’m sure and not being able to visit him doesn’t help. Hopefully you have family and friends close to help you through these difficult days. Stay strong my friend.
December 29, 2021 at 01:02 #1575309Hugs are gratefully accepted Andre and thank you for your kind thoughts and prayers. You are so right it is very scary but we have to keep strong this happened so suddenly. Luckily I have my son Chris in the same village and he is a great help and of course the lovely Wilson cheers me up.
Hopefully know more tomorrow but please keep the Thread going with all the banter and selections and hopefully I’ll be back for the Saturday comps even though my choices will be rubbish this week.
Take care..Jac xThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...December 29, 2021 at 20:03 #1575409Jac, just read the news, I was shocked. So sorry to hear Dave has had a bleed,
you must be worried sick. God willing he will be back to himself after a spell
in hospital. Prayers from me too for Dave, I hope there is improvement over
the next few days. Take careDecember 29, 2021 at 20:09 #1575410Sorry to read about Dave
He has had some tough times in the past which will stand him in good stead as he is a battler
I’m happy to do all the scores for the remaining weeks of the 4pp. Its not easy at the best of times let alone when you have this on your mind
take care xBlackbeard to conquer the World
December 29, 2021 at 20:55 #1575415Just back from visiting Dave and things seem to be stabilising although a long road ahead while they try to discover the reason for this.
Thank you for your kind words Graham and Nathan…my God this has been a tough year for all of us.Nathan that is so kind of you to offer to mark the remaining 4PP but I think I would like to carry on as normal as possible if I can unless something unforeseen crops up and I know you are there…but thank you
Think it will be a quiet New Year for us but will hopefully be watching the racing on New Years Day..I’ve hardly watched any racing this week but hope you’ve all managed to find lots of winners.
My TTF seems to have come to a halt at the moment and sorry to see that Kilcruit was beaten today Andre. However, just read on RP that Energumene may take on Shishkin in the Clarence House next month.. what a race that will be.We’re all trying to keep the positive face on and take each day at a time and Dave and I thank you again for your support. Jac x
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...December 29, 2021 at 21:32 #1575417Hi Triptych.
Really hope Dave is comfortable.
It is a very tough time for you.
Give him my very best regards.
Best wishes.
December 30, 2021 at 00:58 #1575441Thank you Sam.
Dave is comfortable now and I will show him all your good wishes.
He’s not a horse racing fan but he knows there’s nowhere else I’d rather be than with my nose buried in this Forum or hanging out at Newmarket and it’s not just about betting and winning it’s about building friendships while following the sport and horses that we love and who sometimes break our hearts when they get injured.
You are an amazing bunch of people that I am proud to call my friends and wish you all the safest and healthiest of New Years. Jac xThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...December 30, 2021 at 11:06 #1575462Hello to everyone.
Pleased to hear that your husband is making progress and I echo your
views about the various posts on this forum.Lots of races to try and make some sense of over Christmas.
Some positive performances and one or two negative ones, top
of that list for me is Kilcruit. Cheltenham is the target on
the horizon for all the top horses. But as a sideshow we have the Godolphin Meydan Competition so
are off to find my thinking cap and start to find the best candidates. Many Thanks
December 30, 2021 at 14:59 #1575515I know how worried you are Jac, so I was glad to hear that Dave is doing a little better. I’m glad that you were finally able to see him, I’m sure that helped a lot.
My TTF has been a disappointment so far this season with several horses under-performing or not even running, so my hat-trick of wins is in serious jeopardy. I’d love to see Energumene take on (& beat) Shiskin!
Stay Safe and a Happy & Healthy New Year!!
December 30, 2021 at 16:03 #1575526At least some comforting news Jac that Dave is stabilising, even if it a long
way to go. If the power of positive thinking works then this whole Meydan community
is rooting for him. God blessDecember 30, 2021 at 17:44 #1575546💜💜🌈Thank you. x
