We have two 3* picks today…just like buses…
1.40 Kelso Jenga (10 tips)(3*19)(+£28)…5th 10/11F
3.30 Hunt Chicago Bulls (12 tips)(97)(+£489)…U/R 8/13F
After having two picks on Boxing Day and the longer priced one losing (fingers burnt)…I will only be backing Chicago Bulls because, on balance, it looks the best prospect of the two.
January 17, 2004 at 08:34 #51318Cheers Ollie, it’s just a hard way to lose when you have waited 4 day’s for a hot favourite…I could accept it better if it had fallen…but for the jockey to jump off at the 9th…well…
s/r = 15/20 (75%)…and falling
The last four selections have been the worst scenario for the the rolling doubles format….W,L,W,L
NO 3* PICKS TODAY
January 19, 2004 at 16:31 #51319Bricoman,
Was there a selection for Monday 19 Jan? I know there have been problems with thr RP website was that the reason?
Ollie

January 19, 2004 at 20:03 #51321Larry,
Thanks
Aagh! and it won!! albeit at 3/10. Brico can you confirm?
RP site is back up and running now.
Ollie
January 19, 2004 at 21:20 #51322The Grey Report (although a 3 * selection) would not have been picked today by Bricoman because Plumpton had 2 second joint selections of 8, which were 310 The Bandit and 410 Bobsleigh. Ironically, The Bandit was a 3 * pick too – and it also won.

January 19, 2004 at 22:59 #51323Thanks for clarifying Rex, I couldn’t get a copy of the RP today
January 20, 2004 at 08:27 #51324Sorry for the tardy reply gents but I work nights and just got back to find all the posts that have happened overnight.
Rex was quite right…I made Grey Report a 3*JOINT PICK so unfortunately it didn’t qualify. I also made The Bandit as a 2* JOINT PICK. It gets worse….Out of the 9 monitored picks yesterday 6 won, but all 3 meetings were JOINT PICK meetings.
NO 3* SELECTIONS TODAY
I will start posting each day…just to confirm if I get a selection or not.
Regards
Brico
January 20, 2004 at 09:05 #51325Bricoman,
Do you consider Manawanui a 3 star selection or a two star selection?
240 Exeter Manawanui 5/4 f 10, 40 5*, +1511
Rex
January 21, 2004 at 08:39 #51326Rex,
Just received your post…for some reason it never showed up on the thread until 24 hours later???
Manawanui only showed up as a 2* because to be a 3* it has to be the Top Tipster pick at that particular meeting. Mioche D’Estruval was the top pick with 12 tips but failed to get above average prize money…:(
Today we have 5 from 6 races that are above average prize but fail for one reason or another to get 3 stars.
The 2* picks are:
1.10 Ling Aleutian
1.20 New Green Ideal
4.00 Fake Pequenta
NO 3* SELECTIONS TODAY

Held up towards rear, headway over 3f out, ridden and edged left inside final furlong, quickened to lead towards finish by 1L.
January 23, 2004 at 16:54 #51330Ollie,
Sorry to hear you missed it…we are due a couple of selections so you might be right about buses coming along. Had a Great day today…tipped Only One Matty in the betting tips section…Won @ 20/1…also tipped it in the TRF Naps competition to turn a -£10 into a +£10 LSP….You beauty… just shows you what you can achieve given the time to study form in handicaps…

January 23, 2004 at 18:11 #51331Brico,
Just visited the Betting Tips section, nice one!
Glad to see dandan the student cleaned up! No doubt there’ll be some beer drunk in the Union tonight!
Ollie
January 24, 2004 at 08:09 #51332Another 3* selection:
1.50 Hayd Bal De Nuit (11 tips)(4*21)(+£2798)…Lost 2/5F
That’s it…I’m quitting while I’m ahead on this one. Started off great but got worse as time moved on. The last 6 selections have been W,L,W,L,W,L …so it’s back to the form book for me.
s/r = 16/22 (72.73%)
Working Bank: 105.58
Reserve Bank: 150
Levels (comparison): 126.57
Thanks to everyone who took an interest.
Regards
Brico
