Interesting. A very exciting finish to the best Formula 1 season in living memory. You have to ask yourself what elicits such a reaction to Lewis Hamilton coming out second best from people who have never posted about the sport before. What is different about him compared with any other driver?
You think the Stewards would have taken the same decision, if it had been one of the first races of the season? I think they would have disqualified Max last time out, but they couldn’t since the score was 369.5 to 369.5 and there was only one race left.

Initially i was delighted cos its hamilton , but on reflection ,he was robbed and it was crass daylight robbery

Clutching at straws there. Most people would just bet on her to win the US Open if anything. I don’t think the SPOTY betting market is so big that thousands of people were lumping on at big odds.
Formula 1 is a circus and the fact Hamilton yard negotiated and were gifted a win the previous week has gone unnoticed.
The final leg would have been a dead rubber otherwise.
The resulting media hype and carry on in the week before and after helped to restore formula 1 status.
Given the size of this leviathan and the billions it generates not to mention the jobs it supports that is no bad thing.
