MM very good. VPU desperately disappointing.

Can’t see any of them getting turned over to be honest.
Unbelievable Jeff!!!
February 13, 2010 at 18:28 #276273There’s always one that seems to go down. I’d have had Denman and Long Run as the bankers myself so at least I was half right
.February 13, 2010 at 19:05 #276288What a quite stunning performance. Along with Kauto Star, Master Minded has no peers when it comes to jumping.
With the obvious exception of the final fence, those leaps over the final few fences were just wonderful to watch.
Nice to see the young horse back and really enjoying himself.
February 14, 2010 at 02:02 #276493If you did the 4 shorties that was a raw deal….I would never have thought Denman would be beaten

As Ian summed up….there’s usually one that let’s us down!
On reflection, we would have to say there were some "good" odds on shots that went in on Sat. Trying to find the right combo is a killer though

Master Minded was impressive, but I really did think he had fallen when watching the race in the bookies….I even let out a scream (of sorts…barely human).
Was a great sit by Ruby…I need to watch it again, but it appeared that somehow he seemed to get thrown into the air and then fell right back into the saddle!? How often does that happen?
He’s 10/11 best price for the QM now..but do we think there could be odds against available on the day???

You’d like to think so, Zip; I’d be first in the queue with both wheelbarrow and shovel.
February 14, 2010 at 03:23 #276501Lol
Get behind me with that wheelbarrow, Reet. I’ve started queuing already!!

MM looked wonderful and VPU looked a ‘shadow’TBF Shabby, I wouldn’t rule out the old warrior at Chelters.
He could still go well at a price (16-1) in the Ryanair.
He’s been such a formidable, classy beast, though. So it would be sad if he suddenly deteriorated dramatically and had to compete at an ordinary level.

February 14, 2010 at 11:29 #276547The look Ruby Walsh gave Alice Plunkett when she asked him if it might have been his or the horse’s fault that Master Minded clouted the last fence was priceless.

He was not a happy bunny, put it that way – even though he did admit it was his fault.
Young Walsh has quite a habit of clouting the last fence in big races, has he not ?

Yep but he always seems to get over them in one piece.
February 14, 2010 at 13:50 #276581Dunno why anyone would bother putting a 1/6 shot in an accumilator to be honest??
If it wins it’s not going to boost profits significantly so I don’t see the point.
February 14, 2010 at 18:47 #276671Personally, I wouldn’t back a 1-3 or worse, but then I don’t have £3000 to win £1000.
If I did, then maybe I would be tempted thinking I could "print" money.
