Like so many other races, very hard to take a strong view, with all the multiple entries……

https://www.oddschecker.com/cheltenham-festival/martin-pipe-handicap-hurdle/winner
I’ll no go over these again, as do many of them already mentioned on The Coral Cup thread, but this is the early shortlist…..,
Ilikedwayurthinkin 8’s
Column of Fire 9’s
Flash The Steel 16’s
Palmers Hill 16’s
McFabulous 20’s
Tamaroc Du Mathan 25’s
Run Wild Fred 25’s
Coko Beach 33’s
Top Moon 33’s
No interest in an early bet here, even with NRNB, but I might look at Five Day Decs.
Palmers Hill and Tamaroc Du Mathan look to have the biggest potential to shorten significantly.
February 22, 2020 at 19:45 #1483659Now that Nicholls seems to have sorted out his jumping mcfabulous looks potentially very well handicapped
February 22, 2020 at 20:46 #1483666Yeah FF, he’s a big player, if I had to have a shorter shortlist, it would be…..
Column of Fire
McFabulous
Palmers HillBeen following Fab since his debut, and I’m convinced he’ll be a player here.
February 24, 2020 at 13:12 #1483769COF is my main one here, on at 20s NRNB with skybet thanks to a mate whom skybet seem to like….
Wouldn’t have a clue where else to look yet.
I note Canardier has moved to Willies, always liked him, god knows which race he’ll head to. Former trainer no mug though, so i don’t expect him to improve lumps.

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!February 24, 2020 at 14:45 #1483776I’m on two here from about a month or so back – Column of Fire 16/1 & The Bosses Oscar 16/1.
GE loves this race, first looked very well handicapped when allocated his UK mark and TBO looks smart until last time when he was a bit disappointing behind French Dynamite but that might help keep his mark down and he did make a bad mistake late on.
Palmers Hill is a horse i’ve followed and have lost a stake on him for the Pertemps but i’d be very wary of the bounce factor with him, looked to get tired on Saturday when chinned at Kempton. Jonjo could have had him 90% and he just took a blow but not sure TBH.
February 27, 2020 at 10:17 #1483990Flash The Steel
Saint Roiearly picks but will be studying this race in more depth this weekend
February 28, 2020 at 12:30 #1484106“McFabulous has got a tidy mark of 132. He’s in the same position as quite a few of mine in that I have put them in, knowing they will get balloted out, but giving them the option of running at Kempton in the consolation races.
“He’s a great example in that he was a very good bumper horse who was a bit slow coming to hand this year. Hopefully he’ll run in the EBF Final at Sandown on Saturday week.
“I looked at the handicaps this morning and some of them are unbelievable – the top weight is going to be 11st 12lb, 11st 10lb and the bottom-weight is going to be about 11st. They are so competitive.”
Looks like mcfabulous wont be going to cheltenham
March 3, 2020 at 11:31 #1484487It isn’t very original, but I’m with Front View and Colum of Fire here.
March 11, 2020 at 20:44 #1485595Assemble for me here at 25’s beaten a neck by Front view yet he is far bigger odds. His bumper form with Appreciate it and Eskylane boosted today
March 13, 2020 at 17:21 #1486028Probably going to be won by whichever Irish horse has evaded the handicapper most effectively. But I will follow my usual system.
Ruthless Article 150-1 ew
March 13, 2020 at 17:23 #1486029Now 250-1. Another 50p ew as per.
March 13, 2020 at 17:24 #1486030Front View ew 5 places.
March 13, 2020 at 17:32 #1486031Come on Gavin …on e.w
March 13, 2020 at 17:46 #1486034Well done the mare!
Hope CoF is OK…a nasty fall and he would have won I think.March 13, 2020 at 17:53 #1486035That shows just how well handicapped dame de compagnie was
March 13, 2020 at 18:42 #1486047I suppose from the point of view of Phillip Hobbs this festival was “character building”. His long odds on favourite in the Champion Chase turned over, his favourite in the Bartlett not getting the rub of the green or a moderate ride depending on your point of view – and then he gets chinned on the line in the last after having been left at least two lengths clear.
