One of the main stories on the news.
The sceptic in me feels this is all exposure for her intended attempt at Presidency.May 27, 2022 at 08:17 #1599316Meanwhile, the favourite to be the next president will be attending an NRA rally just down the road in Houston.
May 27, 2022 at 08:35 #1599318Will Netflix be there to film her visit into a money making enterprise?
May 27, 2022 at 08:48 #1599320I personally have no issue with someone going to pay tribute to the victims of a horrific attack, I’m sure many others have too (have to say it’s the first I’ve seen of Meghan doing so and I’ve read a couple of news sources before seeing this).
For what possible reason does Meghan keep getting singled out?
May 27, 2022 at 09:00 #1599323The reason she is being singled out because she is toxic.
May 27, 2022 at 09:05 #1599325In what way is she ‘toxic’? I would imagine many famous people are, so what’s so special about her?
May 27, 2022 at 09:16 #1599326I don’t know if you have been living at a bottom of a well Richard, but if not it cannot failed to take your notice what she has turned Harry into, her relationship well non relationship with her family, the wanting privacy then going on Oprah and signing up to Netflix for god’s sake, what a hypocrite.
Rubbishing and trying to destroy our Royal family and in recent months trying to worm their way in so Netflix can follow them around, they are not interested in the Queen, it’s ALL FOR THEM and to keep the millions rolling in.
God forbid if she ever got in any sort of power.
May 27, 2022 at 09:32 #1599328I don’t take a huge amount of interest in the Royal Family but Harry has always seemed like a decent bloke to me and remains so. Who he chooses to have a relationship with is his business. She has a bad relationship with her family, so what? Millions do.
The Royal Family doesn’t need her help to bring itself into disrepute. Diana was treated pretty shoddily and Prince Andrew anybody?
It’s always been about the millions rolling in for them too so I’m surprised she doesn’t fit in really.
May 27, 2022 at 09:40 #1599329Like any family our Royals haven’t been perfect, and as you say Richard some have let themselves down very badly to say the least.
But, going back to the root of this thread I’d prefer Markle to be a million miles away from our Queen.
Let’s see what ‘reception’ they get if the public are close. I wonder if TV coverage will mute the boos.
May 27, 2022 at 09:50 #1599331Are they coming over for the Jubilee stuff?
The reason the media doesn’t like them is because they don’t play the game their way. They are of course playing the media game, just not in the way they are ‘supposed to’. I don’t think that’s the whole reason, it’s a big part but there’s surely something else.
However I definitely prefer her response to the recent tragedy than that of a recent president.
May 27, 2022 at 09:58 #1599334Yep. The Palace has told the Netflix entourage to keep away, but expect there will be something done as an ‘exclusive’ for them.
Some of the media like them, particularly the left, but a number of public don’t.
Bit early yet and wouldn’t be surprised if ‘he’ made a visit too. Now whether the media would report that.
My word in America the TV stations are going head to head against each other and expect it won’t be too long before the same happens here.May 27, 2022 at 15:09 #1599380I don’t really care about the politics, I’m just shocked at the time
it took the police to enter the school where this maniac was killing
kids and teachers.I don’t know how many officers arrived, although it was minutes after the
call made them aware. They first said that officers came under fire and that
officers had entered the school. That was bollocks, they retreated and there
was enough armed police to stop several adults who wanted to enter the school
because they had their kids inside and nobody was doing anything. They handcuffed
some. It was an hour later before a unit attended, entered the school and killed
the shooter. Why would they wait an hour when kids were being shot inside the school. They may
have come under fire trying to enter via 1 door, but how many doors does the school
have? How many windows that could be broken to gain access at any side of the school.Under circumstances where there is a live shooter in the school, and killing kids at
that time, they MUST gain access save as many kids as they can. That’s their primary
role, guard and protect life and property. Instead they cause a cordon to stop anyone
coming too near.What a fecking shambles !!!
May 27, 2022 at 15:29 #1599381Who is Meghan Markle please?
Oh, alright, I do know who she is, though I wish I didn’t.
But to be fair she’s hardly the only person to which that applies.

May 27, 2022 at 18:26 #1599399You make a valid point Befair.
May 27, 2022 at 19:09 #1599410So which of the English posters on here are “servile”

Canadian Police had the right idea. Guy with a gun near a school, blew his brains out, job done.
