Not sure about that Joe – while Mark has strong views he’s also a shrewd operator who’s a bit too clever to cut off his nose to spite his face.

Personally, if I were a trainer, he’s just the man I’d want on my side.

But I’m not sure if he’s going to do much for the likes of us mere punters.

The Horseplayers Association of North America, HANA have been going for almost 4 years now. See the link below for how they organise things with other punters. In the days of Facebook, Youtube and Twitter it should not be difficult to organise the commercial power of punters for or against organisations that do or do not heed their customers.

One thing for sure is that if no one is looking after your interests it is you who will be the continual loser.

The only good point Mark Johnston will bring is the war on prize money.

I suspect he be moaning about providing incentives to attract horses from abroad again.
