This race will be won by Limini this year and probably won by Mullins for the next 5 years to come, nice way for Mullins to get some extra prize money and for his Mares to get an easy win at the festival.
Not complaining (in case it sounds like I am), genuinely pleased that us punters get a free-be to add in our accumulators every year.

Mullins said after the race that myska got some turf caught in her throat from the kick back on the heavy ground. That gave her a shock and meant she wasn’t able to breathe properly hence why she didn’t finish off the race
February 15, 2016 at 13:55 #1233761Oh god, you’re telling me that the Mullins other string is going to ‘bounce back’ and win at big odds? That’d be a first for the Mullins stable LOL, bloody fixers maybe I’m on the wrong horse! They love a good false favourite to give them good odds on their actual selection. Me and my mate like to call it the ‘willie special’.
February 15, 2016 at 13:58 #1233763Closely related to the ‘O Brien’ special on the flat, sometimes these two even manage to combine like we saw on the weekend when the O’Brien hotpot got turned over by one of the thousand runners Mullins had in the race. That was a really good fix, get all the Mullins horses to block the Aiden horse in and win on the 3rd string Mullins one.
