The RP web site are reporting that Manduro pulled up lame after todays Prix Foy win.
Indeed there are reports he may have run his last race.

What a crying shame – I think he would have been a strong Arc contender.

It is good to see the approach being adopted by Coral – I hope other bookmakers follow.
September 16, 2007 at 21:00 #115273What a pitty and what a shock! Here is the video of today’s race: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K1TTxvdcOP0
How easily he has won!
September 16, 2007 at 23:03 #115278And with that goes my lumpy antepost bet on Manduro and probably my interest in racing until March

I hope Manduro is ok
September 17, 2007 at 11:55 #115318Manduro is now officially retired – what a shame.

September 17, 2007 at 17:36 #115359He is a tremendous stallion prospect – a tough, good-looking horse of the highest class, with a fine and unusual pedigree.
Most stallions disappoint, but this fellow has a much better chance than most to succeed.

Andre Fabre eulogises, which is quite unusual for him.
September 17, 2007 at 21:52 #115408It’s such a shame but he ended his career a winner! and he has great prospects at stud, I think he will impress as a stallion. I’m just so glad that it’s nothing worse than a small fracture and that he will live a good life
September 18, 2007 at 07:48 #115430At least he is still with us to be able to go to stud – that is the most important thing.
I just hope he makes a better fist of things with the fillies than old Georgie boy did

I can’t wait to see some petit Manduro’s in the years to come.
