    Just a 3yo of Kevin Ryans who officially Ran Out and crashed through the rails today at Thirsk in the 2.45 totesport handicap over 5f. Bizarre fatality in that its unclear what happened. He veered violently to his right breaking through the rail but its unclear whether the injury came before or after the running out.

    The poor young horse’s leg broke causing him to veer and crash through the barrier. Such an awful shame. RIP

    What a shame for such a young horse. RIP

    Just goes to show it’s not only jumping 5ft chase fences that causes horse deaths. It can happen anytime.
