I suspect the reason it got removed first time, was because it was considered spam.
The reason it was probably considered spam, is because it was your first post and you chose to advertise a service with it.
I don’t expect this one will last much longer either.
May 14, 2009 at 19:13 #227599Happy, is this anything to do with your Felix de Giles thread where you touch on your syndicate links? Nomal protocol seems to be that new/old members ask the Forum owner before advertising commercial links; mainly because some unscrupulous people just use the forum for their business ventures.
You’d be amazed how cunning and manipulative some can be. They often begin by dangling a carrot, then proceed to ‘know’ of a unique scheme and finally, when they think the fish are hooked they then feed them to the sharks.
If you’ve posted a link that has previously been removed then common courtesy suggests that you avoid repeating the exercise without clearing the matter with the top man, Cormack15 – send him a Private Message.May 14, 2009 at 19:14 #227601The reference to Roger Curtis is a reference to his blog, AFAIK, and anyway, the member in question, moehat, is a long-standing member with a history of posting her opinion on racing in general so isn’t considered a spammer, unlike somebody who posts a link in both of their first 2 posts!
Hope this clears up any misunderstanding.
May 14, 2009 at 20:21 #227615It was probably removed as I had informed a Moderator (two hours prior to you posting your orginal thread) that you had spammed me by Pm with this service.
As I explained to the Moderator you chose the wrong person in spamming me as I’ve never had a pot to piss in and if I had I certainly wouldn’t spend on a racehorse with you lot.

May 14, 2009 at 21:49 #227627Anything more to add, happy?
May 14, 2009 at 21:59 #227630With a name like Happy, it was inevitably going to end in tears.
I think it’s a clear sign of the recession that people are having to be more and more devious and inventive in getting their brand across, even piggybacking on TRF.
It would be interesting to know how much it costs to advertise on here because I hear the Antepostking is setting up a new business as a detective agency following his success in bringing Caledon to justice.
KMay 14, 2009 at 22:10 #227631Surely it was Ethan’s meticulous and cutting dissection that did the real damage as far as Caledon goes Ken?
Most entertaining it was at any rate. It was possibly even better than the EDDIEWOODS affair, as amusing as that was (‘I’m sunk to the bottom’
) Are such episodes common?May 14, 2009 at 22:16 #227632I wish, I wish, Steerforth.
I appreciate that there’s a fair bit of serious and knowledgable horse racing discussion on here, and probably some would prefer it to remain so but, personally, I think some of the more frivolous stuff makes it a more rounded forum and helps cater for different mood changes, especially after a bad day at the ‘office’.
KMay 14, 2009 at 22:23 #227635Some of the race-reading on here blows me away: some great insights for a bits-and-pieces casual punter like myself. But yes, the lighthearted stuff can be very entertaining.
