    From Racing Post site :

LISTEN, who has been disputing favouritism for the Stanjamesuk.com 1,000 Guineas, will miss the Newmarket Classic because of a setback and, according to trainer Aidan O’Brien, the daughter of Sadler’s Wells is “unlikely” to make the Juddmonte Oaks for which she has been outright favourite.

The filly was slightly stiff when setting off on a canter on Monday morning and after being examined by vet John Halley the decision was taken to give her a month off.

O’Brien said: “That means she will miss the 1,000 Guineas and, as she won’t be going to Newmarket, it is unlikely that she will make the Oaks. Hopefully, we will have her back for the second half of the season.”

Favourite is out – but this ain’t opening any doors further ajar for other Classic contenders.

We’ll all be stunned when the races come around, but at this exact moment, Ballydoyle’s stock look a little "thin".

You can never right coolmore off, they still have kitty matcham, Highway to Heaven and Psalm, which is a pretty good hand when you consider they are more of a colts operation than a fillies one. Their colts may not look that good at the minute but we’ll have to see what they come up with, you wouldnt have thought last year that astronomer royal would have won a guineas, or that excellent art would be seriously challenging the top 1 mile races.

Time will tell what sort of season they wil have but you never know with them

None of Excellent Art, Astronomer Royal, Duke Of Marmalade were being touted as headline acts for the Ballydoyle team. Aidan O’Brien is a quirky character with a keen eye to be flourishing with optimism at any moment.

Personally, I am giving 1-2 weeks before I consider noticing what Ballydoyle is releasing to the flat for reappearance.
