I’m not massively interested in many of these right now. Too many of the usual types who look like they won’t be running in handicaps for much longer, and hard to single one out.

I do like a long ranger in this though, and Father of Jazz, who’s had a long layoff interested me. I thought he was going to get involved in The Doncaster Mile last year, and though he faded, he caught my eye. Probably vulnerable to nicely treated types, but thought I’d go with him anyway.

Historically what is the average going for this venture? Good to soft?

    I have
    Masked Identity at 100/1 EW
in Bobby’s Ante Post and managed but only managed to get 45/1 (enhanced price) with my Paddy Power account. :good:

Hoping Josephine Gordon will ride as always. Have been on him since he first won for me at the last meeting Newmarket in October.

Fingers crossed for a good draw. :mail: Jac

Had a first look at this and one jumped off the page at me straight away

    What’s the story @ 66/1

C&D winner in the past and finished a fine second on this card last year to a horse that then went on to be placed in the Lockinge. Very unlucky the next time at York and then went off the boil a bit after that, must of had some sort of problem you would think because he missed the rest of the year.

Two other bets to go with
    Masked Identify all EW ..
    United Front 50/1 and
    Marie’s Diamond 66/1

who has been racing in Dubai this winter where he ran a decent 2nd at 50/1 to Star Safari in a listed race.
Ex Mark Johnston inmate and hoping himself or one of the above might spring a surprise. :good: Jac

    Wilts,
I too thought Notre Belle Bete a possible for this race until I looked closer.
Before committing yourself may I suggest you examine this geldings turf form prior to moving to Andrew Balding.
    good luck to all

Father of Jazz entered for Magnolia Stakes at Kempton on Saturday, and also jocked up there, so writing on the wall I think.

Should really wait now for any replacements, but I do like the look of Rogue Bear at 40’s. He’s also got an alternative engagement in The Spring Mile.

Thought he showed a really good attitude on more than one occasion last year, and has course form, and though early days with him, doesn’t appear to be particularly ground dependent.

Happy to throw a couple of quid his way, even with no guarantee that this is his main target.

I have a few shillings antepost on Revich to win at just over 55’s on the Betfair exchange Hopefully he will run, he is currently 14th in the list.

Last year he started badly, but made up a lot of ground late on finishing 6th.

I will do a place bet on the exchange on the day.

Yeah, already took a look, on Sunday, at the turf form. Since i got the 16s NBB’s odds have dropped to 10s this eve, so must be some money going on.
Just hope the horse actually runs – still a few days away. :good:
