    I’ve been doing well recently. But all week long I’ve had the occasional thought: ‘The Lincoln’s on Saturday.’

    Stay out of it, I thought. It’s always costly.

    I was narrowly denied on Fire Fighter at Kempton, but did well on the place money. So I didn’t stay out of it.

    More fool me.
