Died at the age of 32.
An absolute warrior.
RIP.
March 29, 2024 at 12:09 #1688557Incredible horse, born in the year I followed my first Cheltenham Festival. Beat Istabraq in the ’99 Hattons’s Grace and received a letter from JP for that achievement. Multiple G1 winner over hurdles and was never frightened to take on the very best.
Rest in peace Limestone Lad, I’m sure he had the best retirement one could imagine.March 29, 2024 at 19:09 #1688577What a fantastic age he reached, very much loved and well cared for. Rip Limestone Lad xxx

The more I know the less I understand.

March 31, 2024 at 19:17 #1688805Real legend, such a tough, talented horse, horse of a lifetime.
He had the long and happy retirement he deserved.
RIP Limestone Lad.April 2, 2024 at 11:32 #1688923I was lucky enough to see him a few times; a real trail-blazer, 2 1/2 miles in soft he was almost unbeatable. Both times he looked big and strong, surprised he didn’t take to fences. There is some romance about the likes of him and Danoli and Norton’s Coin; small operations, but given the right horses can achieve big things. So glad he had the long and happy retirement he deserved
