Great to see Lie Forritt back in action at Kelso today after nearly two years off. I thought he looked like he’d need the race in the paddock and he must have been a fair price three out but he kept on best of all to win. It’ll be a long way from there to a Grade 1 Novice Chase at the big meetings but if he progresses from that they’ll have some real fun with him.
Was nice to see him in fine fettle and I was taken by his proficient jumping. Unfortunately, he’s come back in what is a vintage crop of novices and in any case, he just isn’t fast enough.
Could be one for a good staying handicap or perhaps one of the nationals at some point though.
