Thought that Royal Scotsman was an interesting selection for Kris and Nath for The Sussex Stakes, and even with a couple of below par runs under his belt now, I don’t think he’s one to totally write off.

Nearly joined them, but back in Group 2 company here, he’s the one for me in this, and I’ll take a chance when the market forms if he’s decent odds

Its all odds dependant
My gut feeling is something is wrong with the horse
Maybe he is feeling it mentally after that effort in the Guineas
Connections were confident in both Irish Guineas and Royal Ascot where he ran no races
Distance isn’t a problem
Company isn’t a problem
Royal Scotsman is the problem

So much depends on the ground in this IMO.

If he came here and got his ground, Kinross must have a big chance in a Group 2 that seems to want to be a Group 1 as I’m not readily detecting any Group 1 penalties.

Isaac Shelby looks likely to be running in this. I’d side with him over Royal Scotsman but like previously said it will be all in the price
I’d imagine Paul Cole will say things like “We have Royal Scotsman back” which could hold the price up for Shelby

Kinross must go close if going is on the easy side. Not much 7/2 left.

Amusingly, I’ve seen a going stick reading for Goodwood even though I’ve yet to see one for Ascot.

It’s currently Good to Soft and the weather forecast between now and Tuesday suggests it could stay that way.

It wasn’t the greatest July Cup ever, but Kinross wasn’t beaten far in it, he’s a stiff six, needs 7f really, horse IMO and 7/2 has to be fair.

Win only, no cash out allowed, but am I bothered, though, does this face look bothered?

I’d rather share my Lanark Blue cheese with Nathan than ever cash out a bet.

I think with his record there they would have run him
Any news why he is not running.? I can only assume the horse has problems like I earlier wrote in the thread
