I like the look of Emmaus here. I think he was worth more than his
nse win over Sir Dancealot at Leicester, if he had got a clear passage earlier I think
it would have been a more clear cut win. Improved again last time out for a more decisive
win, although question mark as to whether he showed a bit of temperament with his tail
swishing at the end, perhaps it’s not a bad thing. He could be progressive, my only worry
is that he loves Leicester and will he be able to translate that form to Goodwood. I think
that at 7s he’s worth taking the chance.July 31, 2018 at 15:04 #1361650It’s confirmed I am suffering from a severe bout of seconditis

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!July 31, 2018 at 15:13 #1361652Terrific finish, and well done to all on Sir Dancealot

I think I’ll wait for Emmaus to go back to Leicester
July 31, 2018 at 15:26 #1361653I was probably more relaxed about the finish than most, having backed both the first two. Second would’ve been a slightly better result for me, but I was willing Sir Dancealot home. Love this horse. Done me a few favours and trained by a fellow Chuteite. Donjuan Triumphant made the running and was right there at the finish, so don’t think they went that quick early. Suedois and Breton Rock got a clear run through. Sir Dancealot would’ve been a very unlucky loser. Disappointed when seeing Mosse going up the rail, stopped by Dbai, squeezing his way through and ending up on the wide outside, just getting there. Elsey would’ve killed Mosse had he got beat. Much the best horse in the race.
Value Is EverythingJuly 31, 2018 at 15:51 #1361661I’m happy for Mosse there, he deserved that in my opinion.
July 31, 2018 at 15:52 #1361662It’ll be interesting to see if anything was wrong with Tip Two Win or he simply just didn’t handle the track.
July 31, 2018 at 18:08 #1361679Agreed Charles, that was a really professional ride by Mosse as he weaved his way through horses from the back of the pack to take the race just on the line. So much to like about Sir Dancelot and have seen him several times at Newmarket.
My choice So Beloved missed the start and continued one paced throughout, but at least I had Sir Dancelot in Nathan’s compy with the two horses in a race option, wish I’d put a few pennies on him though.

Value Is EverythingAugust 1, 2018 at 06:48 #1361743I’m on him again Ginge EW at 66/1
.
He didn’t take too much out of himself yesterday and the first time eye shades might help.
Would kick myself if he won so hey ho here we go.
