My record is desperate in this, but I’ll give it another go….

Going with Champagne Platinum here. Notebook horse of mine this year, and this looks the obvious stepping stone en route to The Coral Cup. He’s surely ahead of his mark, and the 10’s looks more than fair.

Stablemates Call Me Lord 12’, and The Cashel Man 25’s, look interesting too, as does Solo at 16’s.

No intention of backing another though, and hopefully Champagne Platinum will be declared.

Really interested in this race. Like the look of Shang Tang, Glynn and Mahler’s Promise at first glance but will need to spend a bit longer on it to narrow them down. Looks a cracker, best handicap hurdle of the season so far if it stands up.

    Fingers crossed FF.

Yeah, looks a strong race Holla.

With the entries out for The Betfair Hurdle, I quite like the look of Solo and One True King for that, so added interest in that pair here.

I took the red on oddschecker about him as an omen and cashed out yesterday fortunately (mentioned in my DL&P thread)

Stepping in now on Shang Tang for my main bet in the race at 14/1. The Wetherby run was significant looking at my sectionals, see he did a big number despite going around the inside on the worst ground. Everything from the Lavelle yard was needing the run at the time too. Win-only given the trainer and coming in off a fall.

May also add Glynn and Mahler’s Promise later, optimistic of getting 33+ about the latter on the day on the exchange.

Plenty in with chances, my pin has fallen on Everglow ew 5 places. 7 lengths second to Star Gate who is rated 145. Everglow gets 126 in this.

Castle Robin for me here. He did me well in his last two runs at Cheltenham and Ascot. Again up in the weights, but I don’t see why he shouldn’t ran a decent race again. This is possibly a stronger race, but he is still unexposed and a big price.

    Castle Robin 18/1 EW

Ridiculously tight on my figures, 10 within 5lbs on recent form. However, SHANG TANG is top rated, progressive and can make up for dipping out at the first last time.

    Wrong race mate!

I’m going for Glynn, utterly unexposed…

I’ve backed the twiston Davies horse but at a bigger price I think mount mews can go well for a yard in form

Misty Whiskey was a decent bumper horse and is a model of consistency. Big step up here, but is receiving weight all round and could still be improving.
