I saw the race too, just awful to see. He’d not even been on the track for almost a year and then to come back and lose his life, so sad.

I switched off the racing after Severano lost his life and to see that dear L’ami has gone is hard to take thought he was one that would go onto live out a happy retirement.
    The saddest of days.
RIP handsome boy .. L’ami Surge.

Sad to hear this news. He was an enigmatic performer. I expect he had a few punters tearing their hair out sometimes but he was very good when everything went right.

    Condolences to his connections.

He was one of my favourites, even though as Cork All Star said, he had
his own ways. I’ll miss him and I’m so sad that he didn’t see out his
days in the pasture. Poor boy.
