Master mcshee for me, hopefully the ground doesn’t firm up
February 4, 2022 at 12:14 #1581270No Jungle Boogie, sadly, so should be a formality for GDC. Agree with Istabraq that Master McShee should be the chief beneficiary if anything happens to the favourite.
February 4, 2022 at 12:24 #1581273Galopin Des Champs looks like a monster, but I will join you Istabraq with Master McShee ew
February 5, 2022 at 04:41 #1581418I think Capodanno is in danger of being underrated having been beaten by Bob Olinger last time out. He gave Bob more of a fright than anything since Ferny Hollow beat him and pulled a long, long way clear of the remainder. I think he could be very smart and prices of 10/1 e/w and 4/1 without the favourite are very generous. He is actually 7/1 with 3 place insurance with Betfair Sportsbook, I have taken that and the 4/1 without.
February 6, 2022 at 11:15 #1581687If any bubble is going to burst today then it may well be GDC , Master Mcshee looks a value alternative esp with the ground going his way
Pick 3 on Saturday champion 2025/2026
February 6, 2022 at 11:58 #1581704I’m with Tommy on Capodanno. It looks a decent field.
February 6, 2022 at 12:43 #1581717I might be mad but I have backed Gaillard Du Mesnil each way in the dead eight.
I do not expect him to beat the favourite but he must be capable of better than he has shown over fences so far. Mullins must still think he is up to it to run him here.
February 6, 2022 at 12:49 #1581718As much as i loved GDC’s debut and he will likely win, 1/2 is just too short? This is a good field, master mcshee’s form has held with farouk dalene NTO, capodanno & fury road, both have obvious claims although may be a touch short for fury road
Master mchsee @5s w/o GDC
& ill be layong GDC @ just above 1/2, as much as i think he will bolt up i cant not lay him at that price
February 6, 2022 at 13:29 #1581726Bobs in trouble
February 6, 2022 at 13:32 #1581729No he aint ham. Bob has much more speed than the 2nd and 3rd today. GDC should go for other race. Potentially easier.
February 6, 2022 at 13:34 #1581731Better from GDM today although he may not have finished third if they had all stood up. But as an each way thief I will take it!
February 6, 2022 at 13:39 #1581737His jumping wasn’t the best, was it. Still, there was a bit of money going on him before the off so I had an ew on him.

I agree with Mike here- GDC wasn’t stopping so can’t see Mullins dropping him back to the shorter trip. I would think he’ll just let a couple of second raters run against Bob and try to win the BANC with GDC.
February 6, 2022 at 14:52 #1581763He would be absolutely fine with 1f less, clearly, i cant see it myself, he will go rsa imo, but id take him over bob all day long if he did
Mike, what relevance does that have to anything, thats the best form on offer, in ireland thus far,try and poke holes in it if you like, but they are not there. The correct grade 1 winning horse was in 2nd…
February 6, 2022 at 16:59 #1581801Impressive++, pity Cappodanno fell, as would have given us a nice line with Bob
February 6, 2022 at 17:31 #1581809That was a truly run race and Galopin Des Champs was not stopping at the end. I’d say he’ll likely go up in trip at Cheltenham. Would marginally prefer Bob at 2 and a half with spring ground but it would be some clash
