On logging into my accounts recently, both advised me I have to upload proof of identity (driving licence or passport) before I can make any deposits or withdrawals.
I am not particularly happy about it and don’t like the idea of uploading a document with my photograph, date of birth etc. I don’t trust them to keep the data safe.
At least I have some money in the Coral account which I can use for Cheltenham. I have had backed a few winners with that account in the last three weeks (I expect to be restricted soon). But it is a bit of a pain that I cannot take any money out.
I have no money in my Ladbrokes account. I hope to have some soon if any of my antepost bets are successful. But again it will be annoying if I cannot withdraw the money.
Has this happened to anyone else recently?
March 4, 2025 at 11:56 #1721809Yes, you wont get it moving atall unless you comply, even then your going to have a problem, ive gave up trying to get money out of a hills account
Its a nightmare, coral has done the same also now, i had £200 e/w on a horse backed from 16/1 to 2/1 it lost and was unplaced and there requesting documents before i can do anything with the other £200 left in the account…. As good as lost imo
Good luck
Ps there online chat teams are hilarious, be aswell talking to a wall
March 4, 2025 at 12:05 #1721810I bet with Lads, maybe once/week, if they are offering a better price than, say, 365. Havent had any issues.
I NEVER keep money in a betting account. If i win, it goes straight into my bank account.
My Cracking Rhapsody win, in The Morebattle on Saturday, was from Lads and i withdrew the money Sat evening; was in my bank account on Monday.Do you think their request is because you havent used the account for ages?
If not, maybe i’ll get the same request from them soon.
March 4, 2025 at 12:10 #1721812If you trigger thr £150 limit wilts its automatic now
March 4, 2025 at 12:18 #1721813Thanks for the replies.
I hadn’t used the Coral account for quite a long time. I couldn’t get into it last year because it kept freezing and I gave up.
I tried it again about two weeks ago and managed to get in. I made a small deposit but have managed to back a few winners, so there is now a much larger amount in there. And it seems like it is staying there unless I give in.
I have only been using the Ladbrokes account for some small deposits to place antepost bets. I cannot remember when I last used it for regular punting.

Whst is this limit, exactly?
Is it a Win limit?
A deposit limit?
A £stake limit?Cheers, in advance
March 4, 2025 at 12:51 #1721815This has got me very worried!
Having been closed down or severely restricted by several firms I decided to not withdraw winnings from most of those who’ve continued to take my bets – most especially Hills and Ladbrokes. I have 4 figure profits with both of them, and as a result of this thread I’m going to try some test withdrawals!
I’ll let you know how it goes!
March 4, 2025 at 12:55 #1721816BTW CAS I had a similar problem with freezing on my Hills account a couple of years back which eventually resolved itself but definitely not as a result of my dealings with their on line help which was extraordinarily unhelpful! 😱
March 4, 2025 at 13:02 #1721818Good luck Oscar. I would take out as much as I can if I were you.
I am not too bothered about the Ladbrokes account. Even if one or two of my Cheltenham antepost bets win, it won’t be much money. Although I do have my antepost Derby bet on The Lion In Winter with them.
The Coral account is a different matter. I suppose I should have thought to withdraw some of it but it is still frustrating how my money is potentially tied up by these shysters.
March 4, 2025 at 13:15 #1721820I’ve tried to find advice on line regarding gambling disputes and rather worryingly the gambling commission declares it has no power to assist in individual cases but suggests going through the complaints procedure for that shyster/ bookmaker before possibly using some applications tool called Resolver…
Anyone know anyone who’s tried any of this?March 4, 2025 at 13:43 #1721823So far so good…
I’ve tried withdrawing slightly less than the £150 suggested by ham and both Hills and Ladbrokes have indicated that the process is under way.🤞March 4, 2025 at 14:05 #1721824Both withdrawals were in my bank account within the hour!
Obviously they rightly adjudged you to be a dodgy character, CAS! 😱March 4, 2025 at 17:56 #1721831I’d definitely like to know what you meant by a £150 limit, ham?
March 4, 2025 at 18:09 #1721834Oscar – i asked the Q, and since earlier today i’ve found some guidance but i’m not sure i really get it.
I think, and i stress “i think” that, say you punted £300 in a 30-day period and didnt win anything, i.e. lost it all, you may get some kind of restriction placed on your betting account.
That is a simple example….i think.
Must admit though, i dont get why peeps are being stopped from withdrawing winnings or positive account balances.
Anyone else ACTUALLY KNOW, rather than guessing or expressing an opinion?
I’d be interested, for sure.
March 4, 2025 at 18:16 #1721836That does not apply to either of my accounts.
March 4, 2025 at 18:34 #1721839CAS – so what is the £150 limit?
March 4, 2025 at 18:38 #1721840Actually, reading back the replies in this thread, incl my own i should add, what is this thread ACTUALLY trying to explain/achieve?
Is the £150 limit relevant?
If it is, what does it ACTUALLY mean? - AuthorPosts
