The news we were fearing. Ben Case tweeted:

“Very sadly we lost Kings Temptation at Cheltenham races today in the cross country race when suffered an injury on the flat. He had been a fantastic horse for us winning 6 times and will be greatly missed by all the team at home thoughts are with all connections RIP KT”

I’ve read somewhere that he collapsed after jumping the 26th obstacle.

Poor lad … I didn’t see it happen but the commentator mentioned he was down … then I heard no more about him so I hoped/assumed he was OK … sad news in a race we were all so happy to see The Tiger run and win so well … but this loss when he was so nearly home is hard to take …

So sad to see this confirmed. I heard Richard Hoiles day he’d gone down on the flat but never heard anything else about it. Really sad.
