So You Think being aimed at the Eclipse. Is it likely Ballydoyle will ask him to run in this as well, I doubt it.

Don’t think Workforce will run in both either, more likely of him doing it though than SYT.

O’Brien appeared unsure over Await The Dawn’s next target, he said he was unsure after his race on Saturday. I don’t see him as a great threat, could he really give 12lbs to Reliable Man?

Snow Fairy and Midday meeting on Saturday, looking forward to see them race against each other again. One or both could possibly run in this. However, they would have to give 9lbs to Reliable Man and though they are both fantastic I don’t think they are up to that.

Topped up again today with WH @ 14s.

The trainer (Dupre) tends to know what he has – I.e he hinted that ‘Sara’ was head and shoulders above anything else in his yard last year…

He also has a line to the Fav ‘St Nic’ through ‘Midday’

He rates RM but will he go? :?: :!:
Had a couple back out of races before i.e the filly that bt ‘Goldi’ – she never made it to the Breeders’ ‘cos of flight paths or something!
Ran ‘Dary’ in the race last year and might not want a young horse to get into a battle like we saw in the POW stakes.

Then again he is the same price for the Arc as he is this where he’ll not meet ‘Pour Moi’ for one and at least a few others in the big one come Oct…
so might be worth the punt if that’s how he’s thinking…

Either way it’s a line to the three year olds and some will shorten or go out on this depending on the result!

One thing about the stumble – that was Mordin hey?
He didn’t mention how he quickened away from ‘Tin Horse’ (who had a full run of steam) in three strides…
could be the sign of a crack?! :o
Or the stumble might mean that he was tired going the long route when he was probably a lot better than his winning margin? :?:

What a race the Eclipse was, fantastic stuff!

O’Brien afterwards did not even mention the King George as an option for So You Think highlighting instead the Juddmonte, the Irish Champion or even the Cox Plate. The Magic Sign have removed him from the betting for the King George.

Workforce – connections felt the ground might have been too lively for him. Mentioned that there were two or three options for him. I felt he had a hard race and may need a break. The Magic Sign have removed him from the betting for the King George (per RP site).

Snow Fairy – Dunlop said next target likely to be Nassau.

Reliable Man cut to 10s by the Magic Sign, but still 14s with Billies – topping up again !

Its hard to believe but St Nicholas Abbey is the only Horse that is sticking out for me. Its actually remarkable. It will be between himself and Rewilding as it doesn’t sound that Workforce will run in this race.

I think St Nick has one great performance in him. Just wonder should i get on while the 5/2-2/1 is available.

I don’t think Rewilding will have had a sufficient break to get over his excellent win in the Prince of Wales.

I remember last year when he won the Great Voltigeur with a fantastic performance. I had a double on him to win the GV and then the Leger. I went to the Leger more confident than I ever had been about collecting on a bet. However, before the race I couldn’t believe his physique, he was really narrow and had no back end. He ended up running a stinker, miles below his GV form.

I just think he needs a really good break between races to be at his very best – I don’t think 5 weeks will be enough.

I don’t think St Nick can give 12 pounds to a Classic winner. None of his form this year would indicate that he can.

So You Think wins if he runs here, very hopeful too (300 @ 7/1). If not, St Nich will win doing handstands.

Which classic winner would that be?

I can see only one winner. 2/1 about St Nicholas Abbey is a steal. I have him at 5/1.

For me I would loave a proper pacemaking done by Balldoyle to turn this into a big as slog as humanly possible making it a 1m6f race. The further St Nick goes the better and if it turns into another farcical early pace anything could happen.

Didn’t see/read about the race, but seems midday got smashed by play misty. Any reasonable explanation for this? Considering it was SNA’s win over midday which boosted him up, seems like it could be relevant.

Since Misty and St.Nic come from the same yard they will figure it out re Midday.

My point was misty for me was beaten 7 1/2 lengths in the oaks only to line up 20 days later and beat midday by 6L (over 10F). So maybe SNA’s form isn’t that strong? I’m actually asking rather than saying since I just haven’t followed any of their other races.

    Here you go, RL.

For mine, I’d ignore Midday’s Curragh run altogether, while her Coronation Cup 2nd can probably be taken at face value.

12/1 e/w Reliable Man is a bonkers price, he only has a beatable St Nic to beat

Agreed Big Bucks, I happily took the 14/1 e/w with Hills last night. There could easily be only 4 or 5 runners.

    I have £50 eachway on Reliable man @ 14/1,
although having watched the French Derby a few times,
I was maybe more impressed by the run of Baraan,
who was tailed off by ~15 lengths in last place,
but ended up finishing only ~3 lengths 3rd.
I have Baraan @ 14/1 for the Arc, £50 eachway again.
Being by Dalakhani, and being owned by the Aga Khan,
Baraan should at least run in the Arc.
