Market already up for next years renewal, not that I’m in a mad rush to back anything.

My long term fancy for next year has always been McFabulous, but initially cooled on him after his run the other day. Turns out though he finished lame, and if he returns from that ok, then I’m actually very tempted by the 33’s.

Another I like is Noble Yeats. Unibet have a huge list of horses priced up, but not this guy, which is a surprise given his late defection this year. They were obviously very wary about sending him there this year, but if the next few months went his way, then it might just be back on the cards for him, weather permitting.

There’s obviously the small issue of the many Mullins contender’s. Although he swerved the race this year, given his ammo, you’d have to look at his seriously. No point second guessing at this early stage, but although this might not appear an ideal test for them, the two of his that I like at this stage are Ramillies, and Stattler. Think Stattler will go close in The Gold Cup, so I’ll definitely keep an eye on him, while I hope Ramillies can improve again on his last run.

Early early days, and won’t bet anything too early (hopefully), but thats the quartet I like right now…

    Edit

Most of those mentioned clearly unlikely as the season comes to an end, but I’d be interested in Banbridge, but not enough to bet Antepost right now. I’ll see where he starts off

McFabulous risky after pulling up lame again at Sandown, but happy to risk him

McFabulous not in stable tour, so cashed out

Bravemansgame is hardly originally but he may well have another 2 or 3 runs in this , surely Mullins will be tempted to give Allaho a go in this ?

The King George VI Chase (like the Champion Hurdle) is a race horses farm historically and multiple winners are legion.

Bravemansgame is definitely the one to be with here and, after he’s run like a drain in the Cheltenham Gold Cup and in any other futile starts this spring, Chezza will be hoovering up all the big King George prices all summer long about this autumn horse, who will make right Charlie (Halls) out of his rivals on his Wetherby reappearance before heading London-bound at Christmas.

Bravemansgame is the Calamity Jane of Cheltenham and the Arse of Aintree, but he’s the King of Kempton Park, the Sultan of Sunbury, and the Baron of Boxing Day.

Can he Star on the Stage at Kempton in December?

I don’t think a step up to 3 miles will be an issue and possibly an asset.

A G1 winner over hurdles and now fences, so has a bit of class. Travels and jumps well, handles left handed or right and sharp or galloping tracks and doesn’t appear to be ground dependent.

He’s young and improving nicely and surely very open to improvement.

    Your thoughts?

Bravemansgame ran far better than I expected him to last week and he wins a second King George all day long.

Wouldn’t argue with that Ian, a Nicholls 1-2 then. ;-)

Bravemansgame looks very solid here, and I’ll bet him before his seasonal debut in the autumn. It’ll likely be a sizeable one too, so I’m not going near him though at 5-2 in March.

The one I have bet is Cheltenham flop Thyme Hill. He was too bad to be true last week, and at 50-1, I’ll have a few pounds on him ew.

Envoi Allen priced up by 2 firms only, one goes 12’s other 33’s
the 33’s would tempt me but I’m not sure if it would be the plan and they may decide to skip it as the horse stinked the place out last time here in this race.

He does like to send one for this Nathan, and although he ran poorly at Christmas, I’d say that 33-1 is alright after last week.

I like a long range ante-post on this race and I nearly joined you with EA, but I’ve joined Silver Spoon with Thyme Hill.

He was only one of three larger wagers I had for Cheltenham and he really disappointed me. I think that he can bounce back from that, and I think that he is the type who could head for this.

fwiw I think that Bravemansgame will win again, but I’m hoping that the 50-1 will be worth it long term

Thyme Hill is 9 years old and coming out of his novice season.

How much improvement does he have in him?

Decided to take a look at this tonight and must admit I’m surprised to see Fastorslow isn’t even quoted for the King George VI Chase. Your Uncle Ian is happy with Bravemansgame

If Shan blue hacks up at wetherby this weekend then he’s likely to halve in price and is the only one in the field who’s still potentially holding some cards close to his chest and offering some value in the sense his price has got a lot of room left in it.

That’s from a betting point of view but in terms of the actual race it looks like BMG’s to lose on account of it’s unlikely any of the Irish will come over for it.

Shiskin could be the one to give him a race if he has a good season. Anyone know where Henderson is looking to start him?

Henderson hinted at the Betfair and he is entered.

The more I know the less I understand.

He won’t go though. It’ll rain and the ground will be soft or worse, and the trainer will explain that the nasty people made him ruin Altior (not that he ran a half fit horse against an opponent that he’d underrated) and he’s not doing that again, and Shishkin will have a racecourse gallop at Newbury after the CoralLadbrokesHennessy Cuptrophy, then go straight to Kempton where he will come 3rd or 4th (if the ground has good in it) or PU (if soft), then he’ll decide there isn’t time to “tinker with his wind” before Cheltenham so will put a tongue tie on him and win the Game Spirit, then he’ll go to the Ryanair and get beaten again. HTH.

I’d be amazed if he goes to haydock personally.

He’s the flag bearer for the old adage of keep your horses in the worst company and yourself in the best.

Would have made the most sense to go Charlie hall then KG to my mind but that ain’t gonna happen so I think it will be straight to kempton.
