66s probably doesn’t represent value overall does it? For all, he’s the one im most excited by too.

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!September 24, 2019 at 10:17 #1462472Think that 66’s is ok Jack for a fun bet, might throw a couple of quid on that myself.
Contradicting myself here just a bit, agree it doesn’t look value, but it also looks a bit big. FFS, losing it.
September 29, 2019 at 17:25 #1463357Will Mullins keep his two Gold Cup winners apart and let one have a crack at the £1M bonus on offer?
September 29, 2019 at 18:42 #1463369How long has the bonus being going for Mark?
If he did go for it, I think that Kemboy would be the more likely, as the owners have always struck me as a very sporting lot.
October 14, 2019 at 11:08 #1467815Taken 16/1 EW La Bague Au Roi
Warren confirmed it’s Charlie Hall then this for LBAR.
I think she is a superb EW bet at 16’s for this. Of those ahead of her in the market you have Altior at 5/2 who has to prove himself up in trip. Clan Des Obeaux is 11/2 which is laughable off the back of winning one of the weakest renewals I can remember. Cyrname is an obvious danger but he has to prove himself over 3m in proper company. I am a huge fan of Lostintranslation and think he will emerge as the main charge this side of the Irish sea, but LBAR has already accounted for him and I think Kempton suits her more than it does him. Then you have Frodon at 12/1 who I don’t think will be good enough. Min at 14/1 who IMO races far too keenly for them to consider going further than 2m/2m5f.
Then you have LBAR at 16/1 who has solid 3m form in the book. You then have no trip concerns, no ground concerns, no course concerns, no right handed concerns, no age concerns, no target concerns and no ability concerns. This cant be said for any of the others ahead of her in the market so at this stage 16/1 EW looks the smart value play.
October 14, 2019 at 13:15 #1467822October 14, 2019 at 18:43 #1467844Charlie, I’m happy to have laid her off meantime, but I’ll be watching her comeback closely, as I’d have no problem with diving back in.
Seems the sensible option to me, as I share Joes concerns, and I’d like to see that she’s showing no Ill effects for her trip to Ireland.
November 1, 2019 at 23:49 #1473575More big priced antepost optimism
Vinndication 50s ew
Looked a really great prospect in his first couple of races last year, hoping for a good run tomorrow to put him back in the grade 1 mix, at least when right handed anyway.
November 2, 2019 at 07:43 #1473610It’s boring but I’ve played Altior in a few doubles for this , honestly think he,ll be just as good at 3 ….question is 3.2 up Cheltenham hill ….godtheres so much to look forward to this season
November 7, 2019 at 12:08 #1474282November 11, 2019 at 08:45 #1474573Reading the paul nicholls stable tour he is bullish about clan des obeaux for this
Expects him to come on for the run massively and straight away after down royal backed him for this at 7/1
November 11, 2019 at 10:25 #1474580scary as it might be I actually think Altior will IMPROVE for step up to 3 miles,, he never travels like a 2m horse (I know stupid statement for on unbeaten in 3/4 years at the trip and won a Supreme / Arkle and 2 champion chases) but its always been end of races he has looked at his best powering up the hill
Think he is one of best bets ive seen in a long time ill be paying the xmas expenses with him on boxing day
November 13, 2019 at 13:32 #1474715Did I dream Altior has been withdrawn for this? It’s a very vague memory so hopefully I did
November 13, 2019 at 14:22 #1474719Dreaming indeed. Lets not hope you get Deja Vu.
November 14, 2019 at 12:59 #1474796CLAN DES OBEAUX 7/1 for me ran well in Ireland be spot on here
November 21, 2019 at 14:18 #1475450Footpad looked back to his best today
Fast and accurate jumping and saw out the 2m6f well
Could be an interesting contender for this or the savills chase
November 22, 2019 at 09:57 #1475489I’d say Footpad will be coming here. Jumped really well yesterday. Think Mullins will be sending 2 to this; Footpad and Real Steel. Will be interesting to see how Cyrname does against Altior. If pushed to have a bet now I think I’d be backing Cyrname but I’ll have a better idea next week. Don’t really see the need to be rushing into an Ante-Post selection here. At the moment it is shaping up to be a nice race with hopefully a bit of depth. I doubt Douvan will be coming here; they seemed to suggest he’ll be moving back in trip if he moves anywhere.
